Mexico City
In the list of major cities in Mexico, the Mexico City ranks first as it is the capital and the largest city in the country. Architectural buildings, historic places, museums, palace, monuments, malls, official buildings; Mexico City simply has it all. The floating gardens in the canals of Xochimilco is the biggest tourist attraction here, whereas, the El Ángel de la Independencia, or the Angel of Independence, is a victory column which is the landmark feature of Mexico City. Headquarters of many major media companies and Spanish newspapers are located in this city. Nearly 1/5th of the total population of this country lives in Mexico City, hence, it is known as the city that never sleeps.

Guadalajara
Guadalajara is the second largest city in Mexico and also the capital of Jalisco state. The root core of Mexican culture can be found in this city, as it houses the production centers for most of the authentic Mexican products. The most famous example of it is Tequila, which originated in Guadalajara. Monterrey

León
León, being the capital of Guanajuato state, is another major city in this country. The Expiatorio, also known as the Expiatory Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is one of the popular landmarks of León for its neo-Gothic design. The municipal palace and the Arch of the Hero's crowned with a bronze lion are also landmarks of this city. León is more popular internationally for its leather goods, specially leather shoes.

Puebla
Puebla, capital of Puebla state, is the major industrial center in Mexico. Earlier known only for its textile industry, today Puebla is an important commercial center for automobile and iron and steel industries. Puebla is located in a picturesque valley which is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes from all sides. Puebla is also well-known for its heritage and historical monuments which range from renaissance, classical to Baroque periods. The art museums, churches and antique shops in Puebla also make it a tourist attraction.
