Mailing List Secrets Revealed - Elite Strategies

Everybody says that "the money is in the list", and for sure, they are right. But, does everyone get the most from his mailing list? It is not that easy as they say to build a subscribers list, and it is even harder to approach to your subscribers, to gain their confidence.
First of all, there is one thing you should understand. All your subscribers must be those which have signed up by their own will to your mailing list, and it is preferable to use a double opt-in confirmation to avoid spam issues.

You can see all over the place lists for sale. Think about it, those people don't know you, they didn't signed up for one of your products or services. In many cases they didn't signed up for nothing, some people just took their info from Internet and sold it to you, and the risk of spam complaints is very big.

There are list sellers who are paying people to join their lists and then they are selling you the list, but this kind of subscribers has no interest in your activity, they do it just for some money. In this case, you are losing your money and your time with a non responsive list.

The ideal is to build your own list, to convince your visitors to sign up for your newsletter by your own means. It takes some time to do that, but, believe me, it is the only way to make it clean and safe. Building a relationship with people who have opted in for your sake to your list is much easier and more profitable.

When you start sending them follow up messages, don't jump to sell something from the first email. Those people are expecting from you something valuable and you must show them that you are an expert in your niche and you can share with them information, tips, not only sales offers.

For the first three emails give them only helpful information and add a gift in each email, then you may start to test them with items of small value, products selling for $7, services with free subscription and upgrade possibility. After the seventh or eighth email you may start offering items with higher prices, like $47 or so.

Do it gradually, give them the possibility to know you and to trust you. The golden rule, however, is that you should never try to sell a product or a service which you didn't tested yourself before. If you make the mistake to sell low quality items, you can say good bye to your list. You can fool them only once, they will not give you the second opportunity.

Another criteria to establish a good relationship with your subscribers is the frequency of the emails. If you will bother them with emails at every six hours or daily, they will unsubscribe faster than you imagine. Send them one email to every three or four days, and only you have something urgent to say, you can sell them a broadcast email, over the turn.

Do not forget to state in every email you send them that they can unsubscribe anytime time and to give them a link for that, and also, give them the possibility to contact you at any time for any issue. This will increase their confidence in you and will make your work easier.

You can also specify in every email that they are free to forward the email to others, if the subscriber likes. This form of viral marketing can grow your subscriber list over time. And never forget to thank them for their time.

Finally, use an autoresponder service with strong reputation, and stay away of free service providers. By using a free service autoresponder, you may see that one day they cut your access to your list and you can lose all your work.
