Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was born on 2nd October at Porbandar in Gujrat. The pioneer of Satyagraha, it was Gandhi, who won India her independence. A practiotioner of ahimsa and speaker of truth wrote 'The Story of My Experiments with Truth', which captures the his journey of trials, tribulations and triumph. He was given the title of 'Mahatma' meaning the 'Great Soul' for his work and beliefs. This teachings continue to live in our heart us even after 60 years of his death.
