Madonna’s Rep Denies Rumors of an Affair

Madonna’s rep is working overtime lately denying reports that she and hubby Guy Ritchie are on the verge of a divorce and that she is having an affair with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg reportedly released a statement Tuesday that said, Madonn’a husband Guy arrive in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving). There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce." Recently it was reported that both Madonna and Ritchie had consulted with different divorce attorneys.

Rosenberg also denied reports that Madonna, 49, and NY Yankee Alex Rodriguez, 32, are having an affair. She said, "Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that." Recently it has been reported that Rodriguez has been making "late night visits" to Madonna’s apartment in Central Park West in New York City. He also attended the Material Girl’s concert in New York on April 30 and Madonna brought her kids to a Yankee’s game on June 22. Rodriguez is married and has two children, but has been accused of cheating in the past.

Madonna and Ritchie have been married for about 8 years. They met in 1999 began dating and in August 2000 Madonna gave birth to Ritchie’s son Rocco John Ritchie. Madonna and Ritchie were married in December 2000. Madonna also has an eleven year old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship with trainer Carlos Leon. In 2006, Madonna filed adoption papers to adopt a little boy named David Banda from Malawi, which was finalized on May 28, 2008.
