Madonna and A-Rod Flit Off to Mexico

Alex Rodriguez, the me-first third baseman for the New York Yankees, and Madonna, the badly aging pop star refusing to read the writing on the wall (you’re old, darlin’), were spotted in Mexico City over the weekend. While the odd couple has not officially declared a romantic attachment, the whole world already knows the score between the two and their "coming out" party on November 26, when A-Rod handed the blond (really?) pop star a water bottle during her Miami concert, further cemented the rumors as fact.

Word is that A-Rod spent Thanksgiving with his cross-generational gal pal, but that rumor was shot down by an undisclosed source. Rodriguez had a nasty split from wife Cynthia, but still spends time with her on occasion for the sake of his two daughters.

According to a source, "He always had every intention of spending the holiday with Cynthia, the family, and his two daughters. There was never any intention of him flying back. The allegations regarding this trip to New York [to join Madonna] couldn’t be anything farther from the truth. Her mother and father and other family members are flying in. They’ll all have a huge family get-together. Alex will be there for that, and be there the entire long weekend."

The reality? Well, it seems that A-Rod played family man and boy toy on Thanksgiving, flying to meet his new lady friend late on Thanksgiving Day and jetting off to Mexico City just a few days after her divorce from Guy Ritchie was accepted.
