The relentless ticking
Here in my head
It does promote me
To darkness at last
The downward spiral
Of no recompense
It continues still
In all my vision,
The gentle sound
Of pure entrancement

The watch does turn
The winding click

A speaker drowned

Click, click
Of my mind telling me
It is here forever.

The chain swings low
Alone in my brain
The hands turn
Alive inside
My face in my hands
The screaming starts
Leave me be!
Am I not a man
And no slave?
Yet enslaved I am
To myself I am trapped
Free these shackles
Around my face
I scratch my eyes
Dampen the sound
Of a single watch
Abound in my mind
Yet still it continues
