Phillips, 48, was arrested Wednesday after drugs were allegedly found in her possession by TSA agents. Police Sgt. Jim Holcomb reported to People magazine, "She was being screened by airport security when a small amount of what appeared to be heroin and cocaine were found on her person. She was arrested about 10 a.m. and is still in custody." The "substances" were reportedly found in baggies and balloons. Her rep has not yet released a statement.

Phillips is the daughter of The Mamas and the Papas lead singer John Phillips and his first wife Susan Adams. She is also the half sister of Bijou Phillips and Chyna Phillips. She has a long history of drug and alcohol addiction and has had numerous stints in rehab. Phillips was arrested in 1980 for cocaine possession while she was starring as Julie on the hit sitcom One Day at a Time. Producers gave her a six-week leave of absence from the show to get her life in order, but she reportedly continued on a downward spiral and she was eventually fired from the show. She reportedly cleaned up her act and returned to the show two years after leaving, but her return was short lived due to her drug addictions.

Phillips got her start in the 1973 movie Go Ask Alice when she was 13. She also appeared in the movie American Graffiti. She has been married three times – to Jeff Sessler from 1979-1981, to Michael Barakan from 1996-2000 and to Keith Levenson, a music conductor/arranger, since 2005. She has a 21-year old son, Shane. In the late 90’s Phillips appeared on the Disney Channel series So Weird and also performed with the "revived" Mamas and the Papas until her father passed away in 2001.
