It was rumored this week that Jamie-Lynn, a teenage mother herself, sent vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, baby gifts. She reportedly sent Bristol pink burp cloths from the popular boutique Petit Tresor in Los Angeles. A store clerk even said that Jamie-Lynn included a card that read, "Dear Bristol, Hang in there! XXOO, Jamie-Lynn Spears. A rep for Spears reportedly denied the claims and said, "I just got off the phone with Lynne. I can tell you that she hasn’t sent her any gifts, but she does support Sarah and, of course, can empathize with their situation."

Jamie-Lynn and Bristol, both 17, do have a lot in common. Jamie-Lynn gave birth to her first child, Maddie Briann Aldridge, in June 2008. She is engaged to the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge. It was announced Monday that Bristol is five-months pregnant with her first child. And it has been said that Bristol will marry Levi Johnston, the 18-year old father of her unborn child.

Johnston joined the Palin family in the VIP box Wednesday at the Republican National Convention. Bristol was reportedly wearing an engagement ring and Johnston was sporting a tattoo on his wedding ring finger that read "Bristol." Both Bristol and Johnston’s families have welcomed the couple’s relationship and pregnancy. Johnston was even up on stage with Palin’s family after her speech Wednesday evening. There has been no word on when the couple will tie the knot or when Bristol is due to deliver, but if she needs any pointer she can always call Jamie-Lynn.
