Most of the fruits and vegetables contain less amounts of carbohydrates and hence, they are considered as low carb foods. Fruits like olives are the best among the low carb fruit list as they contain literally negligible amounts of carbohydrates. It is recommended that one should have whole fruits and vegetables when on a low carb diet. Having a fresh cut fruit helps in gaining more nutrients than having fruit juices (canned or frozen). Secondly, fruits juices contain more amounts of sugar and hence a re not advisable for diabetics as well as those on a weight loss program. However, as a note of advice, one should follow this diet only the doctor's recommendation!
