Following a low acidic foods diet is recommended to people who suffer from acidity related health problems. A simple way to determine if your body is acidic or alkaline, is to take a saliva pH test. In the morning before eating, drinking or brushing your teeth, use a short-range pH paper for saliva, and spit it on a glass slide. Then place a strip of the paper on the saliva sample, and compare the colors, to the scale. This will help you determine if your body is acidic or alkaline. If your body is acidic then adding more alkaline foods to your diet, can help. Also, to quickly recover high alkaline foods are recommended.
