Love to Me
Things on my mind, personally.
What is love to me?
Love is something you don't find. It's something that sneaks up and taps you on the shoulder and says "Hey, didn't notice me did you?"
Love to me is something surprising and breathtaking.
I've found love twice so far in my life. Only twice but that's so far. I'm still young and love is always right around the corner. How I love the idea of being loved. Even of just being in love. It's a wonderful emotion... love. The word just seems to roll off the tongue.
There are the good sides to love.
For example, laying side by side and just staring them in the eyes for minutes on end and thinking "Wow, I really love you." Then you suddenly just come together in a passionate kiss and you feel fire crackers begin to go off in the background.
Love is running on the beach feeling the sand beneath your feet and the brisk air on your warm and flushed cheeks. Hearing your breath and the breath of your follower close behind you. Then feeling their strong arms wrapping around your waist and being lifted off the ground just to be set back down quickly. Turned around and kissed until you feel light-headed from giggling and kissing.
Love is looking at that one person sleeping and just looking for hours at their relaxed breathing. Looking at them and seeming them for the imperfect person they are and accepting it. Seeing them in that relaxed state and thinking "You're mine and I'm yours."
There are the down sides to love.
For example, loving the wrong person but regardless feeling the need to express this love. Love is not something you can ignore. It's like ignoring that you need to take in a deep gulp of air. Go ahead. Hold your breath and when you can't take it anymore take that big gulp of air. You can't ignore what you need so desperately. It's just how things work.
Another example is loving and not being loved in return. That feeling of depression and hopelessness. You repeat to yourself "Why am I not good enough for you?"
Sometimes life isn't fair to those who are most generous but no one said life was fair did they? Love is the same. Nowhere in a book does it say that if you love someone enough, they will automatically love you back. Love has no rules or instructions. Love is wild and spontaneous.
Love is:
Hurt;
Trust;
Risks;
Heartbreak;
Turmoil;
Fear;
Jealousy;
Anger;
Happiness;
Sadness;
Desperation;
Depression!
Love is something that we can all experience in our own special way.
When love finds you I hope you're ready, because it packs one hell of a punch!
