Love Song - 12
Lose love, find love, hate love, love.

"It is. It can be kind of lonely living here, though. Especially when I was a kid."
"Really? Where did you stay?"
"The whole top floor is mine."
"What are we waiting for, then?" I laughed, grabbing his hand again and laughing as he twirled me under his arm.
"Dance with me." he pleaded, grinning hopefully. We had loved to salsa dance, mainly because we could get up close and personal.
"Later." I smiled, and then let him lead me up two massive flights of stairs to his place. We arrive and I actually gasped. The place was massive, and open. There were no doors, just massive arches separating the rooms. There were the basics, bathroom and bedroom, but there was also a study, game room, food store and dining area. It was only short of a kitchen.
And oh yeah. The wall that faced the sea was made up entirely of glass, and there was a white stone balcony just outside the bay window door. "Wow." I murmured. I stared out of the glass. The sky was staring to get dark, but there was still brilliant sunshine. "Can we go out there?" Will smiled and nodded.
"Of course. Let me just get some music. Would you like anything to drink? Eat?"
"No thank you." I watched as he wandered away, and minutes later, hip hop beats with a Spanish melody in the background floated through the air to reach me. I smiled. He was persistent.
I turn back to the sea and leaned my elbows against the balcony rail. The ocean stretched endlessly towards the horizon, a dark, choppy sapphire blue. It was beautiful. I could imagine waking up to that every day. I shook my head and chased the thought away. Our friendliness was just a one off, for one day only.
Willi came up next to me and matched my position. He held some H2O on his hand, and sipped it straight from the bottle, offering me some. I took up the offer and he fed it to me. I laughed as I broke away.
"Nice music." I commented, gesturing inside. I looked up towards the sky. The bright, beautiful sky was gone - now the sky was laden with heavy, dark menacing clouds.
"Uh huh. Oh, come on Crystelle. Dance with me? For old time's sake?" he crouched on one knee dramatically and held his hand out. "Crystelle, can I have this dance?"
I laughed and took his hand.
"Come on then." I pulled him up, and he ended up standing closer to me than I had anticipated. I smiled. It was so familiar. His hands found my shoulders, and then slid down my arms until they found my hands. Twin paths of fire trailed down my skin.
We began to step easily, going into old routines. He twirled me under his arm and I ended up with my back to him. We paused, as I looked up into his face and he looked down in mine. He was still holding my hands, and both of our arms were wrapped around my stomach.
Then I twirled out again and he pulled me back, tugging me so close that our chests banged together.
"I'm going to kiss you now." He told me determinedly.
"Okay." I replied without hesitation, and he smiled. Then, with a touch as tentative as our first kiss, he cupped my face in his hands and leaned down to plant his lips lightly on mine.
It was everything I remembered, and more.
Fireworks seem to go off inside of me, leaving every nerve ending on fire. My heart beat an irregular rhythm again, as it always had when he kissed me. Blood boiled beneath my skin, and I reached up to run my fingers through his silky hair, to stroke the nape of his neck, to rediscover the hard muscles of his six-pack.
We paused briefly for breath, and then he pulled me back to him with the same kind of need that I had. We had to make sure the other was still there, had to reassure ourselves of our togetherness.
"Crystelle, give me another chance." He murmured between kisses.
"No." I replied, buried my face in his chest and circling my arms around his waist. He clung onto me in the same way. Suddenly, thunder rumbled deafening and dangerous above us. Lightening flashed thunderously in the horizon.
"Crystelle..." Will pulled me away from him and looked me right in the eyes. "Crystelle, I love you." As soon as he said the three words, the skies opened and rain came lashing down as fast and heavy as a power shower. We were drenched within seconds.
My hair stuck in tendrils so the side of my face, and he brushed them away as he waited for my response. This might hurt. This might break my heart. This might leave me wounded beyond repair. This might be the best thing to ever happen to me in my entire life.
I closed my eyes, and my hot tears mingled with the rain.
"I love you, too."
We drove back home deep into the night. Will asked if I'd like to stay at his suggestively - I declined. I'd rather get ready for my sister's wedding at home. We had made love. Long, sweet love.
And then, after he'd explained to me exactly why he'd run the first time, and exactly why he loved me so much, we'd gotten dressed and driven home.
Now, I was here, at my flat, cradling a cup of scalding hot tea in my hands and smiling foolishly, running over every single little detail of the night in my mind. It was everything beautiful. He was a gentle lover, sweet and caring, and he handled me as it was made of spun glass.
Afterwards, he curled around me protectively and kissed the back of my neck, whispering sweet nothings in my ear. He told me loved me many times that night, but I still hadn't had enough. I wanted to wake up every morning in his arms and hear him whisper it to me. I wanted to spend the rest of my life listening to it. I wanted him to sing it to me in his beautiful soulful voice.
I shook my head and picked up my little kitten, running my fingers over her little Mohican. She looked at me with wide eyes and mewed softly, snuggling into my chest. I smiled and carried her to bed, where she curled up at my feet as I slipped in. The bed bought the memories flooding back, and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
The next morning was even brighter than the last thankfully, and everything was wonderfully dry. Smiling, I jumped out of bed. Pampering time. I wrapped my coat around me while I was still in my pajamas and went downstairs. Clint had dropped my car off, and I slipped inside, driving to my mother's house.
Everything was frantic, and Sara looked absolutely stunning already, considering she had just woken up. There was a buzz of excitement in the air, and I was grabbed by my sister as soon as I stepped in.
"Crystelle! Finally! I was waiting for you! Come on, let's go." We were bundled into a limo and taken to a beauty parlor, where Sara was taken aside and turned into a princess. The hairdresser looked at me and shook his head.
"I'm not doing anything with that. It's amazing as it is. But if we just take these -" he held up two side of my hair, " - and braid them, pull them back, and ta-da! Princess style." He molded my hair as he talked, and the end result was transformed. My curls were loose and tame, half pulled back, with a few wispy tendrils framing my face. "Now your make up. Jean-Paul!"
Jean-Paul scurried over, his make up kit at the ready. He looked me over and nodded. "Easy."
I sat back and let myself be pampered.

The ceremony was beautiful. We held the main part in a large church, and the rest on the beautiful field at the back of the said church. Small tents covered the food in case of a repeat of yesterdays turn around weather, and now all we were doing was waiting for the bride of finish making her walk up the isle.
I walked behind her, smiling, my eyes on the ground. I was sneaking peeks at Trevor, who was staring at my sister like the richest man in the world, and at Will, who was looking at me in a similar way. We reached the alter and my dad, looking suspiciously tearful, handed Sara over to Trevor, who looked like he was about to burst, he was smiling so much.
We stood tearfully through the vows, and everyone was smiling by the time Sara had said 'I do'. It was a deeply moving experience. Trevor kissed Sara gently, and then they turned towards their large audience. There were cheers, and camera flashes, and the biggest smiles I had seen in a long time. Clint, who happened to be Trevor's best friend, was best man, and we made our way outside for the first dances.
Sara had already asked Will to do the honors, and the band started up to a slow, romantic tune, he began to sing into the microphone. His voice was soulful, and set the perfect setting for a wedding.
After a little while, Clint took me into his arms and we danced around.
"I've found someone." He announced, with a big grin on his face.
"Really?" I asked excitedly, peering around, wondering who this mystery girl could be. "Who is she?"
Clint grinned sheepishly, and then pointed to the sideline. I looked towards where he was gesturing. Roberta stood there, looking at me apologetically, smiling and winding a strand of her curly hair around her finger. I was surprised, but mostly happy. "Oh my god. Wow. That is so great! Go on, then. Go dance with her, silly. What are you still doing her with me?" I laughed, grinning as he pecked me on the cheek and practically ran towards my best friend.
I looked at them. Roberta was laughing as Clint lifted her off the ground and twirled her around. It was so obviously love.
Then I turned my attention back towards the stage. Will was looking right at me. "This one's for a very special girl." He announced, and a familiar beat came on. A small, secret smile crept onto my face and I looked down, suddenly shy and very much in love.
"The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful, stop me, and steal my breath, sapphires from mountains, thrust towards the sky, never revealing their depth..." he sang Edwin McCain's I'll Be with uncanny precision, substituting emeralds for sapphires, roundabout the color of my eyes, all the while smiling at me. After a verse, the real thing took over and he jumped off the stage, making his way towards me.
He took something out of his back pocket and knelt on one knee before me. Realization dawned and I swallowed hard. He - he...
"Crystelle Giovanni, I love you with all my heart and always have. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and know without a shadow of doubt that this is the best decision I have ever made in my whole life. I love you more than words can say. Will you marry me?" He asked, looking up at me with those puppy dog eyes that I couldn't resist. They sparkled the brightest blue I had ever seen, the color of sapphires set on fire.
"Yes," I replied simply, because I couldn't think of anything else to say, smiling as Will stood up and gathered me up in his arms, before slipping the beautiful while gold ring on the fourth finger of my left hand. I looked up into his burning sapphire eyes and knew I had found my one.
And I was happy.
