Love Remains - Chapter 7
When she fist met Jordon.
We used to be really close, not exactly best friend, but some may call it that. Any way, we first met at a park, 10 years ago. I was playing with my friend and he was there some where. I didn’t notice him before. I and Sammy were playing tag when a huge black dog started chasing me. I had always been scared of dogs, and the most annoying part was that dog always chased me. It was like they were picking on me, if they actually could. I was really scared, I started running and the dog was after me.
"Tommy, stop it!" a young boy around my age commanded. The dog immediately stopped. I was breathing so hard that I couldn’t even say anything when the boy introduced himself as Jordon. "He won’t hurt you. He likes you," I looked up at him and he looked sincere. His short dark hair and dark eyes made him look cute, and I some how believed in him.
After that day we hang out in the park or he would come into my house and we would play. My parents were usually out so I used to sneak out to his apartment, and he would always be happy to see me. He lived a block away from my house.
One day when we were at my house, eating ice cream, he looked at me and asked, "Do you like me?"
"Of course I like you!" I replied confidently.
"Good because I like you a lot. You are really pretty." I started giggling and he joined me.
"You are cute too." We were still giggling when he stopped and kissed me on my cheek.
I stopped and looked at him. My eyes widened. "You are not supposed to do that. Only married people do that."
"No, that’s not true." He denied.
"Don’t tell my mom, okay? She will kill me. She said not to let guys kiss me, and they only want to use girls. I don’t even know what that means." I laughed.
"She is right. You should not let boys kiss you. Some boys are mean, but I am not. I am a good boy. My mom says so," he grinned proudly.
"Will you ever leave me?" I asked worriedly.
"No! Of course not! Why would you say that?" He was so shocked.
"I don’t know."
"I will tell you a little secret. Do you want to know?" His excitement was clearly visible.
"Yes!" I nearly screamed.
"Shhhhh" He started whispering into my ear. "I am going to marry you!"
I looked at him with boredom in my eyes. "So?"
"Don’t you get it, silly?" I was confused. "We are going to be together!" he announced happily.
Even though I had no idea what he meant, I was happy because he was happy. We were both having fun and that was one of the happiest moments of my life, and I will remember it forever.
We were so close and I loved him more than anyone I have ever loved. I didn’t love him the way a girl loved a guy but my love was so strong, it was beyond that. Everything was good until Mr. Clark told us that they had to move to a different state. I had cried so much and Jordon was really sad. He never complained to his parents, but he had promised me that he would come back some day and we will be together.
It was a really sweet time of my life. I wish I could go back and live that time again, but obviously I can’t. Things had changed and I know that things will never ever be the same again. Jordon was a really good friend and that was all there will ever be.

Ignoring my car, I had decided to ride with him. It was just old friends catching up some time. "Which one do you want?" he asked, motioning to the CD.
"Something quite and beautiful," it was as if I was talking to myself. My voice sounded so distant.
Ignoring the way I was acting, he rolled his eyes. "It sounds boring to me." He half smiled.
"You always let me choose the music, so I get to pick." I chose "There’s us" by the Black Street Boys, and we just listened to the song for a while.
"Why did you come back?" I asked the question that was on my mind ever since I saw him.
"I just missed you." He gave me a sheepish grin.
"Very funny." I said sarcastically. "Are your parents here too?"
"It’s just me," he was still looking at the road.
"But why would you come?" I asked.
"I already told you," his voice was still confident.
"You just said that you missed me, but that is probably not the reason."
He looked at me, and the look in his eyes made me look away. His eyes were so deep and I just couldn’t bring myself to have enough courage to look in there.
"You are a good enough reason. You mean something to me."
"Me? No way. I don’t think so. I have already stopped believing that I am that special." I gave a bitter laugh after saying the last part.

I only have like 16 more school days. I have finals and everything, plus I need some time to think about what to post for the next chapter, so I am not sure when the next chapter will be out. Please be patient with me, and comment. They always make me feel better, like it is worth writing. Love you all.
