Love or Family Ch. 10

~Venus~

I have a problem. A huge, gigantic, problem. I am starting to have feelings for Riley! I know, horrible. And now I'm a vampire, I can't have feelings for a werewolf. I just can't!!!! God, if Ivy or Sean knew! It would break their hearts! It sucks because now, everyone's with who they're supposed to be with, and I just had to ruin it! It started about 2 weeks after Ivy chose Riley. I can't believe it; I'm going to ruin everything. I fell for Riley, and I fell hard!

"Hey, V." said the man that was the cause of everything happening.

"Hi." I said quietly. I couldn't even look at him, without feeling a huge wave of hormones.

"Hey, people." said Ivy, seating herself in Riley’s lap. It was all I could do not to jump out of the recliner I was sitting in and tackle my twin.

"Hey Ivy, I heard H&M was having a half off sale." I said, if for no other reason than to get her to leave the room. Her reaction was one that I anticipated.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!" she screamed, H&M was her all time favorite store. The last time they had a 1/2 off sale our adopted mom Hailey wouldn't let her go, because Ivy had been grounded for sneaking out with Daniel.

"I have to go!" she said running out the door. A few minutes later, I heard her brand new Hybrid that Hailey had gotten for her as a birthday present; I got a giant pickup truck.

"Isn't she great?" said Riley. That one comment put me in a very bad mood.

"Sure." I said coldly, staring at the TV screen.

"Well, you're great too. And if you don't put that pout away, I'm going to have to come over there." said Riley charmingly. Isn't he awesome?

"Try me." I said arrogantly.

"Okay, but you asked for it." he said, rising from the couch. I didn't really expect him to start tickling me, but Riley is unpredictable. I heard the front door open and close, I assumed it was Hailey. Wrong assumption.

"What is going on here!?!" boomed a furious voice. When I looked up I saw a face that portrayed so many emotions it was hard to know what he was thinking. Betrayal, anger, sadness, hate. I knew what it looked like from his view. I was pretty much sitting in Riley’s lap, he had his arms around me, our faces were so close.

"Sean! It's not what it looks like!" I yelled, jumping out of the chair.

"No, I think it's exactly what it looks like." he said coldly, just before he left my house for the last time. I knew he'd find out that I had feelings for Riley, but I didn't think he'd find out this way.

~Ivy~

"Oh my God. Ivy? Is that you?" said a girl’s voice behind me. I turned and saw one of my best friends from elementary school, Savannah Burks.

"Savannah! Long time, no see." I said, hugging her. Venus, Savannah, and I had been inseparable when we were younger. Venus and I practically lived at Savannahs house, her mom always made comments about how we never seemed to go home.

"So, how's Venus?" Savannah asked.

"Oh, she's great, want to come see her?" I asked.

"Ugh, I want to but I can’t. I'm only here because my mom is having a family reunion and I have to pick out a new dress, because apparently the ones I already own aren't good enough." she said. Savannahs mom was always obsessed with cloths; she never wore the same thing twice

"Oh, bummer, wait, here's my number." I said, writing my number down on a scrap of paper.

"Thanks, see ya." she said, walking off with her bags. I wondered what would happen if I'd told her that I was a vampire that could kill her anytime I wanted.
