Love or Family Ch. 7

~Ivy~

"Hey, Ivy. Wait up." called a voice behind me. I turned to see who it was.

"Oh, hey Riley. What's up?" I said.

"Not much. Except........."

"Spit it out, Riley." I said warningly

"Well, I got tickets to the Green Day concert and I was wondering if you wanted to come." he said without meeting my eyes.

I stopped dead in my tracts.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You got tickets to Green Day and you didn't TELL ME?!" I said furious.

"I didn't know if you'd want to come."

"Are you kidding me? For the last week, all I’ve talked about is how sad I am to be missing the Green Day concert. And you wait until two days before the concert to invite me?"

"Look, I'm sorry but I wasn't sure you'd want to go on a date with me-" he started.

"What was that? A date?" I asked

"Yes, a date! If any boy in this stupid little school wouldn't kill for a chance to date either you or your sister, they're completely insane." he shouted.

"Well, aren't you nice." said Venus appearing out of nowhere.

"But, to bad Venus is taken." said Sean also appearing out of nowhere.

"Hey, is there no privacy in this town?" Riley asked irritably.

"Okay, okay. We're gone." said Venus as she walked away.

"I'm watching you." Sean said menacingly while fallowing Venus out the door.

"I don't think Sean likes me that much." said Riley turning back to me.

"Oh, don't mind him. He's like that with every werewolf he meets."

~Venus~

"You know Venus, it's amazing that your family is like a magnet for the supernatural." said Sean.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, you're in love with a vampire, your father was a vampire but not your mother-" he started

"Wait a minute, my father was a vampire?!" I screeched.

"Yes, he was. But he got killed because it's against vampire law to fall in love with a human." he said.

"But you love me........ right." I asked.

"Of course I do!" he shouted offended. "But unlike your father, I have every intention of turning you."

"Why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?" I asked.

"Because, I decided I wanted to turn you just after you graduate." he said.

"Really? Why after I graduate?" I asked

"Well, you would disappear for a week for one thing. And, you would look even more beautiful then you already do." he said.

"You know, when you say things like that, it reminds me why I chose you and not a werewolf."

"Thanks, I guess." he said laughing.
