Love of an Angel - Chapter Six
This is not the final chapter, we still like awhile!!!
The darkness had touched my life one too many times. Here I was in the same place I began and it made me absolutely mad to think about it. I was stubborn and as I lay there thinking about all that had happened, I couldn't help but think surely some good would come out of this situation. Casbell came in later with some fish for me to fry over a fire pit. I laughed, "Are you serious?" He nodded and said, "Yes indeed I am very serious." I could have laughed but I didn't. Instead, I got up and got out a frying pan. Delicately I stripped the fish and got all the bones I could out. I put salt and pepper on it and began to fry it. Soon the smell wafted throughout the hut. He smiled at me, "Smells delicious, Ana."
My own stomach began to growl. This is the way life was. Over the next few days it remained the same. We ate, had each other's company, and we read a book occasionally. We were running short on reading material when he mentioned going to the surface for more. I looked at him, "Then I will certainly go with you." He shook his head, "Ana it's too dangerous. Lucifer could find you and I can't fight him off by myself. Who would protect you then?"
Casbell had a fact in his head and it was so easily came about that I could not ignore it. I almost wept at the thought of Lucifer finding me and taking me back into Hell. He went to get more things on the outside while I stayed and cleaned the hut. I decided to go outside and explore when I found a breathtaking waterfall. I sat down at the edge of the bank and realized how much I missed Michael. Even though we had been through a lot and sometimes he made me mad, I missed him deeply.
While I was thinking about him someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned and expected to see Casbell back and standing behind me but I saw an old man instead. I raised my eyebrow, "Can I help you?" I asked lightly not sure how to take this visit from the man. He smiled at me and nodded, "I think you can young lady. My name is Isiah and I was wondering if you could help me get to the light."
The light, I thought? What was the light exactly? I gulped and smiled back, "Um yeah...I suppose I could help you. Where is this light located at sir?" He seemed to go from being nice into being rather irritated and agitated. "Well if I knew I would go there."
I listened to him a little longer before getting up to my feet and taking his arm he offered. We seemed to walk through the dense forest for what seemed like hours. We finally stopped and I realized we were going in circles. I sighed, "Isiah, we're going in circles. We aren't going to find a light in this kind of daze. Let's go to my hut and wait for my friend. His name is Casbell and he can help us find what we're looking for."
He nodded and said that he would allow me to go and find this hut. We went to the hut and waited for Casbell. I offered Isiah some tea but he declined saying he wasn't really thirsty. Finally an hour or two later, Casbell came in, but he wasn't alone. Tagging along with him was Michael! I was ecstatic and felt my pulse race at the fact of seeing the guy I loved standing there.
Michael came to me and picked me up. He twirled me around and kissed me deep. Isiah looked on from behind us with a pleasant smile on his face. Casbell motioned at Isiah, "Um, Ana, no offense but who is the old guy?"
I smiled and let Michael go, "Casbell, Michael, this is someone who found me while I was walking. His name is Isiah and he's looking for the light...wherever that may be. I was trying to help him but I thought one of you might know what he is talking about."
Michael nodded, "I do know what he's talking about. I can help him get there and beyond. I'll take him home."
I looked at Michael and smiled knowingly that he would get Isiah home. "Thanks..." Michael turned to me and took my hand, "You're welcome always. But I didn't come here just to say goodbye, Ana. I came to give you a choice. I came to take you home too, or you can go with Casbell...and stay on Earth. The battle between Hell and Heaven is over. Heaven is victorious but judgment day is coming soon. God will judge and you will stay in Heaven with him, or you can go with Casbell and stay here. I'm giving you that choice."
I looked at Casbell and went to him, "I'll always be grateful for what you've done but I can't stay here. My heart is not here with you. You were my first love and I will never forget that either. I love Michael though. I can't stop that feeling. I would rather give my demonic side up for that heavenly side and sit on a throne than live forever in torment."
Casbell leaned over and kissed my cheek, "I've always been taught to follow your heart, so follow your own, Ana. And good luck to you both."
Michael kissed me thoroughly and we descended this bright light and up into the skies we flew. Down below I saw the world and how tiny everything looked. When we got to the gates, I found them to be like they had described them being in the Bible. They were gold and they were more beautiful than words could describe.
So this was the side I chose. As I went inside those gates, I can't describe what harmony and love I felt. I saw my adopted parents and my heart knew no boundaries for the joy I felt. I was home and this was where I belonged.
