Now I know the difference,
between love and lust.
I just never thought
You'd be the one,
The one I could never trust.

I still remember the day I met you,
Your beauty took a hold of me.
Your deep dark blue eyes,
Always seemed to glow for me.

I gave you my all, my everything.
There was not one thing I wouldn't do for you,
My love for you continued growing stronger
The longer I got to know you.

We seemed like the perfect pair,
This just doesn't seem fair.
You had my whole heart,
From the very start.

Only now I finally see,
We were never meant to be.
All I seemed to gain was pain,
Lie after lie all I could do was cry.
