Love...Loss..Magic..3

"Fine then just don’t be late" I growled at him, they all rolled their eyes at me.
Walking down the hallway to my next class I felt like someone was watching me. I kept looking behind me just incase something might jump out. Maybe it was Christina. She was probably still mad at me.
In class I saw the boy that was staring at me earlier. Every table in class had students in them except the one with the boy.
By the look on his face, I could tell he felt uncomfortable with me sitting next to him. He looked annoyed, angry even. His eyes were a different color this time. It was a deep dark red color. Like what Beau had said before, "from that golden color to a deep red color like he was telling him to back off"
Remembering those words made me shiver. Maybe he was telling me to back off. Looking at him closer now, I couldn’t believe my eyes. He looked so pale, different from everybody else. His short spiked brown hair. It was like I was drawn to him. It was strange feeling I had.
The whole two weeks I have been here I had not seen him in any of my classes. He must be new. I dreaded biology. Not only was the teacher mean but my partner sitting beside me did not dare say anything to me.

After school detention was worse. I had to spend a whole 2 hours writing prepositions. Just listening to Christina whining gave me a headache. I needed to get out of there, and fast. I completed all my prepositions in time. Christina stopped writing and looked at me coldly while I exited from the room. It was past 7:00 and I was afraid Decklan might have left me behind. I ran as fast as I could to the parking lot just in time for him to drive off. Running after him was ridiculous but it helped. I waved my hands in the air looking like a fool while running screaming out his name. "I am going to kill you Decklan!" I screamed, running after the car as fast as I could. I heard the car stop and the wheels screech as it reversed, towards me. My brother was a good driver so I wasn’t scared when he was speeding towards me. "Cant any of you boys wait? Argh your always impatient" I growled at him getting in the car, "don’t ever leave me behind again. Do you know what could have happened? I could have been kidnapped for goodness sake. A girl shouldn’t be walking home alone."
"Put on your seatbelt. We are going to the hospital. Dad has been in an accident" he said.
"Hospital? What? Why? When?." All these questions were racing in my head. It cant be, he was a strong man. He cant be. Oh please be okay I prayed silently.
"We don’t know for sure. I just got a call from Tye. They will meet us there. It sounds like dad was in a bad accident. Don’t worry Jess, it is going to be okay" he said.
"You don’t know that! We don’t know that!" I cried, " How did this happen?"
"We will find out at the hospital. Just hang on in there okay. We are going to be there soon"
"Why did you try to leave me behind at school then? You think I would have handled it if you left me home all alone, not knowing where you were?" I cried. I was crying so hard it was impossible for me to breath. I loved my dad. He was always there for me when I needed him. Now it was my turn to return the favor.
"I thought you have left. I was on my way home to get you. It was a good thing you came out early or I would have left you behind" he said, cold and hard. "I hope he’s okay."

The Hospital:
I sat there looking at him. He looked so helpless, so fragile. I couldn’t stop crying. The minute I saw my mother crying I couldn’t keep it in. I ran upto her and hugged her, crying into her shoulder. It was heartbreaking to see her like this.
My whole family were there. Tylor, Bow, Beau, Decklan our mother and me.
It was an emotional time for me and my family. My mother and I cried all night while my brothers tried to calm us."Daddy please wake up" I cried, "we are here for you no matter what. Just please wake up."
"Jess baby, come on its time to go home. It’s almost midnight and you will need your rest. We will come back tomorrow after school if you want" said my mother.
I nodded. I couldn’t bear to leave my father by himself but I knew that he was in good hands. I kissed him goodbye and headed out of the door.
The only thing on my mind right now was my father. Hoping and praying that he was going to be okay.
"You haven’t said a single word since we left the hospital little J. Is something the matter?" asked Tye.
"No. I am just tired and worried at the same time" I answered quietly, "what happened to daddy?."
He didn’t answer me at first. "Never mind. I’m too tired to even think about it anyway" I told him. With my mother in the other car with the twins, it was a relief. I didn’t know how I could handle it if she kept on crying. I wonder how the twins were coping with our mother in the car with them.
Decklan at the back was humming to himself. Tye seemed lost in his thoughts. Slowly I could feel myself drift off to sleep.
I closed my eyes and dreamed about my family and I. We were in the park. We were having a family picnic. Everyone looked happy. It looked so real, it was the first time in a very long time I have seen them so happy. I could feel myself smile. Slowly my dreams started to fade….to a dark blurry frightening nightmare. In the distance I could see red eyes looking my way, hungry looking eyes. No one seemed to notice these eyes except for me. Closer it came, looking hungrier than a lion ready to catch its prey. I could smell my own fear, looking at it closer, its eyes were somewhat familiar. Like I have seen them somewhere. Shaking violently with fear, I saw it smile. Like it was happy to see me scared, frightened. I kept staring at it as it came closer and closer. "Jess? Jess" it whispered.
"What?" I whispered, shaking with fear. The voice became louder. "Jess. Come on wake up. Were home now" it said. With a big smile on its face, I saw it jump with its mouth open wide.
"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed, sitting up too fast hitting my head, "ow. That hurts" I said rubbing my head. I looked around and saw my brothers looking at me weirdly. "What?" I asked."Well it kinda looked like you were having a bad dream" said Tye weirdly.
"Yeah. You were saying these weird things you know" said Bow and Beau at the same time."Like really weird. Something about red eyes" repeated Decklan.
It all came back to me. The eyes, the teeth, its mouth. I shivered. I was glad to be back at home after a long miserable day, forgetting about the nightmare I had earlier in the car. "Night you guys. I’m off too bed now. I’m too tired to eat. Night ma" I said climbing up the stairs.
