Chapter 1

Lucinda's POV

Hi, my name is Lucy, short for Lucinda; I live with my dad and am nineteen. I never knew my mum, every time I asked my dad his response was 'I'll tell you one day Lucinda but just not now.' or it was 'Sorry, I'm busy.'

It gets me really irritated sometimes, but don't get me wrong, I love my dad, a lot. I mean he was there for me when my mum died. He brought me up alone and did a brilliant job. Anyway, at the moment I'm just applying a bit of makeup on for work.

You see, sadly I have to work in a pub called 'Lions Mouth' to gain some money for me and my dad's living. My dad does work, he's a teacher. But the amount he is paid sometimes isn't enough for both of us so I thought I'd help him out. Dad was out late today due to more work so I texted him.

Leaving for work. Dinner in fridge. Love you.

As soon as I texted him, I put on my crimson coat, crimson gloves, black scarf and left for work. I looked around while I was walking on the street, as it was winter it had gone dark already. I leave for work at seven-thirty in the evening.

I could feel my feet and hands suddenly turning into ice. On TV today it showed that today it might snow and for the rest of the week. Thank God it didn't today. 'Lions Mouth' wasn't very far from here, in fact if I were correct it'd probably takes me six to seven minutes to walk there from my house.

Slowly I could see the pub appearing. It actually wasn't a very attention-grabbing pub but still many people would come every night to drink there. I walked over to the door and opened it.

Suddenly I could hear different voices, people shouting, laughing, crying and more. I don't know why but this was the favorite part for me, when I come here. I get to hear people having fun with their different emotions. To be honest it's probably because until a year ago I wasn't even allowed to go out. My dad surprisingly was very strict so I didn't really go out anywhere that exciting. I had to tell him specifically where I was going, what I would do and mainly if I would go anywhere else. Thankfully that stopped when I turned eighteen.

"Hey Luce, you're here! Grab an apron and join meh." Dimple giggled. Dimple had short blonde hair and was a new friend I made when I started working here. She was the first welcoming person that came up to me and asked if I needed any help. She loves working here, she's nearly here twenty four seven.

"Sure." I smiled back, grabbing an apron and joining her.

"So... what's new?" She asked as she hipped me.

I laughed. "What's that supposed to mean? Am I that obvious?"

"Ooo, so I was right. Spill."

"I was just kidding Dimple. But maybe there's something new with you?
You seem happier." I asked curiously, as she did seem happier. All of a sudden she started to turn all red.

"Ohmigosh, I'm right. Spill!" I said loudly.

"Sshsshh." She said looking at a table of boys, really cute ones by the way. I realized a moment later that there were actually two girls with them. I caught one of them looking at me, and he was HOT!

My mind exploded that moment, boys don't usually look at me in that way. His hair was dark brown and scruffy but it looked cute on him. I quickly looked away. I could never keep eye contact with boys.

"Okay, but swear you won't tell anyone!" She excitedly whispered.

"Okay, cross my heart and hope to die." I whispered back.

"Okay... you see that table there with four boys and two girls..."

"Yah, kinda figured out it was something to do with them as you kept looking that way."

"Ohmygosh! Was I obvious?" She screeched.

"No you weren't! Now carry on." I lied as I wanted her to carry on.

"Well basikk..." We were interrupted by our boss, Mr. McLean. He was big, fat and scary. I could list all the bad things about him but that would probably take me a year.

"Girls, stop gossiping please. Work!" He said rudely. But then again he's right. It's been fifteen minutes and I haven't served anyone, I mean it's his money he's paying me, right? So I might as well work for it and not get it for free.

"Sorry sir." I said and went to find a table to serve. While walking a boy from the same table before gestured his finger for me to come and serve them. He had black hair and was also handsome. Is that the boy Dimple likes? Or is it one of the other three boys?

Chapter 2

Hey guys. Here's the 2nd chapter. Enjoy and comment.

Lucinda's POV

I slowly walked towards them nervously.

"How may I be your help?" I asked politely.

"Hey babe, can I have your number? You're pretty," said one of the boys as he grabbed my hand. He had blonde hair and was also cute. To tell you the truth all of them were actually cute in their own way.

"Hey man, I think you're freaking her out," said the one that looked at me before. He looked even cuter close up.

"Oh I get it, want her for yah self Erik. Too bad you already got a gal," he replied back. Ooo, his name is Erik. Shoot. Well now I have no chance with him as he has a 'gal', but then why does he look at me like that?

"Haha, now just leave her," he said protectively looking at me.

"Honey, what are you doing? It's just a bar girl. Stop backing her up." Said the girl next to him jealously. As she said that she cuddled into his arms. I couldn't look, I don't know why but it hurt me.

"What?! You too Julia? Forget this," he yelled and stomped of into the boys bathroom.

"Oh come on, I was kidding..." She said but he was already gone. "You GET OUT OF MY SIGHT," she shouted at me. I quickly ran off. After a while I decided I would go and talk to him as it was my fault that happened. I slowly but confidently walked into the boys bathroom.

Erik's POV

I stomped into the boy's bathroom. I know I'm acting like a child, but I don't care. Why does that girl look so familiar? And why do I feel like that when she's around me? I don't even know so why? I pushed my hand through my hair confused. Suddenly I heard the door open and turned around.

WHAT THE HELL! She's in here and was walking towards me. Gosh she was so beautiful. Her long brown hair was stunningly straight, and why is she wearing makeup? She doesn't even need it. Her skin color is beautifully pale and flawless.

"Hey," she said softly. Again I felt that she is familiar. Why?

"I'm sorry about before... You didn't have to do that," she carried on. I didn't know what to say, for a moment I thought nothing would come out of my mouth.

"Urmm, it's okay." I replied back. Erg! What am I thinking? I'm going to get engaged soon. We both stood there for a moment awkwardly. She is so much more different from other girls, especially Julie.

"I'm Lucy," she held her hand out.

"Erik," I said smiling, I couldn't help it. Okay, that's it. Hate mode Erik. This is NOT you. You're a jerk! Just as I was about to give a snarky comment I saw a scar on her hand, in the same place I'd given another girl I knew when we were small.

"Aria! Ssshh, and come over here!" I whispered to her. "Look what I found."
"Ooo, oh wait Erik. That looks sharp," she said, worried to me.
"Don't worry it's not! Hold it." I said giving it to her to hold. She moved.
"No, I might hurt myself!" She replied back and started to run away. I quickly grabbed her to make her hold it.
"No you won't!" I said and accidentally cut her on her wrist which turned into a scar.

Remembering about it hurt me. That's it! She reminds me of her. The last time I saw Aria was more than ten years ago. Some man kidnapped her, ever since that day we've been looking for him. Police still go around showing the man's photo. Could it be her? No it couldn't.

"How did you get that scar?" I asked curiously. She thought for a moment before she replied.

"I don't know fully but my dad told me that when I was small I cut myself by accident." She replied back.

"Oh, well then I have no more time to spare for you." I said coldly and walked out of the door. While I was walking I remembered that I forgot to ask what she was doing in the boy's toilet.

"Hey babe, I'd knew you'd come back. Lucky, foods here as well." Julie said to me. I went and sat down next to her.

Lucinda's POV

I cannot bloody believe he just did that. I came into the freakin BOYS BATHROOM to comfort him. What a cold-blooded human. What does he think he is? A vampire? Errhgg!

I'm really annoyed now. I walked out of the boys bathroom and went to the counter. All of them in that table were eating, humph, stupid pigs. I saw two hands fly up calling me to order, I quickly served them.

"Lucy, Dimple told me to tell you that she left work because of family problems," said Jill; she was another worker that worked. I don't normally talk to her it's mostly Dimple.

"Oh okay, thanks." I smiled. I hope everything's okay for her. When I looked over to Erik's table, they'd all gone...
