Love Like Ours Is Rare Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7:THE DREAM

"Raven get up!" I heard Zach yell then bang on my door. I groaned and rolled over.
"Come on!" He yelled louder and banged harder. I pulled the covers over my head.
"Don't make me come in there!" He yelled I groaned again and barried my head deeper into the soft bed.
"Damn it!" He yelled I heard him bang against the door and the wood crack then he rammed into it again and broke threw.
"Get up!" He yelled pulling the covers.
"No." I growled and pulled the blankets tighter around me.
"Come on!" He said shacking me.
"Go away." I said and smacked his hand.
"Ill kiss you if you don't wake up." He said in a deadly voice.
"No go away." I said and covered my face up.
"Please get up?" He whispered his voice close to my ear.
"Why?" I asked yawning.
"Cuz I want you to. We gotta slip out before they wake up or your gonna have to face your mom." He said and I sighed.
"Ok I'm up." I said and opened my eyes. My room was dark except for the place where he broke in.. aka the broken door.
"Good." He said and pulled the covers off of me and I shivered as the cold air touched my skin. I sat up and blinked. Zach was standing there with my bag that had all my things in it I smiled at him and he blinked haha.
"Uh heres you things." He said and handed me my bag I nodded and unzipped it and looked threw it and took out my blood red tank top and my light blue jeans with a rip in the right knee I walked into the bathroom and got dressed and left my hair down for once. It was wavy.

I walked out and saw Zach laying on the bed with his eyes closed. I laughed a little and walked over to the bed. He was snoring lightly.
"Zach." I whispered. He didn't move or even open his eyes. I climbed onto the bed and laid next to him and placed my hand over his heart. I closed my eyes and suddenly I was in his mind. His dreams. We were in a garden and there were flowers everywhere. It was beautiful.
"Raven?" Zachs voice said it sounded confused.
"Oh hey were are we?" I asked and smiled a small smile. It still felt weird to smile after so long.
"Were in my mothers garden. Now what are you doing here?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"You were sleeping and I was trying to wake you up and then I was here." I said and looked around again. There was a small stream and a waterfall. It was so beautiful.
"Oh... Hmm maybe its time to wake up." He said and I looked at him.
"What?" He said when I didn't look away.
"I like it here." I said and walked over to the stream and sat down next to it.
"I do to." He said and sat next to me.
"Ya." I said and sighed.
"Why do you hate your mom so much?" He asked. I looked at him but he wasn't watching me he was looking at something else I looked over and saw a woman. She was standing there smiling and had a handful of flowers. She sat down across from us and laid the flowers down and looked up at the sky. She had light brown hair and light green eyes and she had tan skin an she was waring a light yellow dress with flowers all over it and she had white flip flops on and she seemed so happy.
I looked back over at Zach who was watching the water.

"I hate my mom because she left me." I said and looked back over at the women. There was a little boy next to her and it looked sorta like Zach.
"My mom died when I was little. She was fighting in the war against the wolves when they raided the village and started killing people she was trying to save me. My dad was never there." He said and I watched as the woman grabbed that little boy and rafted her arms around him and kiss his cheek and he was giggling.
"You know there was a time when I would have done anything to defend my mother but she didn't know who I was yesterday. She called me a mut and she looked at me like I was the most horrifying thing in the world. She was so powerful when I was little that when she left at first I thought it was because she was going to go save someone then as I grew up she didn't come back. She never wrote she never called. She was gone. Just like that I lost my mother and I had no idea what I had done wrong. Ryan said she left to go to her lover. But I told him he was lying and I come here and find out its true. Every word I said to honor her was a lie. Every promise was a lie. Every thing was a lie." I said tears sliding down my face and landing on my folded hands.
"I don't get any other chances with my mother because shes dead and now your mothers here and you just let her slip away. Soon your gonna look back and wish you forgave her." He said and I looked over at the lady again. She was staring at me with a sad look. And then like that I stopped crying.
"My mother told me she would always be there. Maybe one day I will regret that I didn't love her but right now at this very moment I have no reason to forgive her because Ryan was my brother and her son and when me and him called out for her each night she never answered are calls. Not once. After father died I thought maybe she would come back but she didn't. She never came." I said and I was so mad at her.

"She loves you." He said and I could feel his eyes on me.
"You want to know why me and my brother mean so much to our people? Its because we are the only ones that has royal blood. Were the only ones that can keep the pack alive. When mother left the pack mourned her and you wouldn't believe how many died when she was gone. I lost my best friend because his dad killed his whole family then shot himself. And just because she was gone." I said and remembered his smile.
"Raven its not your mothers fault." He said and rested a hand on my shoulder.
"Then you tell me who I should blame for the deaths you tell me who I should blame for her leaving. You tell me whose fault it is that I grew up with out a mother." I said my hands were shacking so hard.
"Blame yourself." He said and got up and was gone.
His words echoed threw my head. Is it my fault? The reason my mother left? The reason why I don't have the loving mother that sang me to sleep almost every night when I was little.
I looked over but the lady was gone. The garden was gone and I was alone. The green grass was gray and there was no life.
"You wish for something yet it doesn't come true dose it sister?" Asked a voice and my head snapped over to where Ryan was sitting on a rock.
"How would you know Ryan?" I asked and stood up.
"I wished for mother to you know? But she never did come. I could see how much it hurt you that she was gone and not there so when you were asleep I went out one night and into the woods. I found her. She was with him...." He said and at the end his voice had a hint of distance.
"Why do you tell me this now?" I asked looking at him. He had changed and yet he was the same. There was not happiness in those eyes that matched my own yet was different.
"That night she told me to leave. To not come back. She said that I was a burden to her and that she didn't want me." He said and I glanced away from him.
"Sounds familiar doesn't it?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"I was wrong. I want you to come back home." He said and leaped off the rock and stood in front of me.
"Are you sure this is what you want? Because what you don't know is that yesterday I heard you talking to grandfather." I said and his eyes went wide.
"You were in my head?!" He screamed mad as hell.
"Yes." I said and looked him straight in the eye.
"Don't you ever do that again." He said and I felt rage leap inside of me.
"No you listen to me Ryan I am your sister not some servant girl you can tell what to do! I am your equal. You should know that we grew up together and we played together. When we lost our mother I was there both of us lost her and you cant go off saying you didn't care because you did. I could see it in your eyes and I could feel that sadness. That empty hole that was so empty and could never be filled again. I know that because thats how I felt." I yelled at him all my emotions pouring into my words.

"Don't talk to me like you know me Raven." He said using the alpha.
"No! I am alpha to just you remember that! I was going to get the throne! I was but father didn't like me because I showed my vampire way! You told me that I was always in your heart and mind but then Abby came and I didn't matter anymore! I was nobody to you! Abby was in your every thought. I was gone." I said and looked down at my hands my secrets were the one thing I knew he wouldn't waste his time on. I was nothing.
"Raven goodbye." He said and I looked up at him and sighed.
"I always thought you would change. You would be the older brother the use to protect me and keep me safe but now your just like them. Your just like him." I said and smiled a sad smile and looked at his face one last time.
His face seemed to be the one thing I couldn't look at and as he started disappearing tears fell from my eyes and then he was gone and everything was black...
