Love Like Ours Is Rare Chapter 5

This part is a part of the past just a little part to show how close her and Ryan are and to show what there mom was like.
Its in Ravens POV its when there like 7 oh and there very smart for there age being half vampire and half wolf.

CHAPTER 5: THE PAST

"Come on Ryan that's not fair!" I called out and looked around. It was very dark. Why did he shut me out!
"RYAN!" I yelled tears starting to form in my eyes.
"Whats wrong honey?" Mom said as she walked up and hugged me.
"Ryan shut me out mommy." I said crying.
"Oh its OK baby lets go find him." She said and stood up and grabbed my hand.
"Mommy why did Ryan shut me out?" I asked. She stopped and bent down and brushed my tears away.
"Honey Ryan probably wants to play a fair game of hide an seek." She said and smiled.
"Doesn't mean he can shut me out." I said.
"Well lets go and beat him up." She said and kissed my forehead then stood up and we started walking.

When we got to Ryan's room I could smell his pain.
"Ryan?" Mommy asked as she knocked on the door
"Go away!" He yelled and threw something at the door.
"Get into his mind Raven." She said watching the door.
"But you told me not to brake into peoples minds." I said looking up at her.
"Just do it." She said. I nodded and reached my mind out. I felt his pain and his anger. I saw his block and I knew I was going to have to brake it.
"Mama I'm gonna have to brake into his mind in a painful way." I said in a dead voice.
"Do it." She said.
I pushed against his mind and his mind put up another wall. I pushed harder and broke in.

He screamed out in pain and I commanded him to open the door and he did. I got out of his mind and i felt weak. Mommy picked me up and took me into his room and laid me down on his bed.
"Honey... Are you OK?" She asked.
"It hurts." I said
"I know but mommy is always going to be here so don't worry." She said and Ryan came over and sat on the bed next to me.
"Ya and me to." He said and smiled. That's how it was. Even when I just broke his mind he was fine and loved me.
"Mommy do you promise?" I asked. Something in Ryan's mind was worried about that.
"Yes honey! I will always be there for you and Ryan. I promise." She said and kissed my head and left the room.
"Whats wrong with you?" I asked when mom was out of ear shot.
"Nothing." He said sounding mad. He was blocking me again.
"Somethings wrong I felt it when mom said she would always be there." I said glaring at him.
"Moms just lying to us. She is gonna leave us the moment we fall asleep." He said laying down next to me.
"She wouldn't do that." I said shaking my head back and forth.
"Moms changed. Cant you see that? She was always with us when she had time and now there's never time for us." He said and rolled over to face me.
"I love mom. She wouldn't leave us just like you wouldn't leave me and I would leave you." I said and smiled at him.
"Ya I wouldn't ever leave you sis." He said
"Me nether bro." I said and we pinky promised..
