Love Like Ours Is Rare Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4: OLD WOUNDS AND MEMORIES REOPENED

It was magical. The vampire village. It seemed to shine in the light. We had walked miles into the woods. Zach always had an eye on me like I would pounce. It didn't hold my attention because everything was well bright and all the vampires were smiling and happy. They didn't notice me but they did notice Zach and Nikky. Every time they saw Nikkey there eyes would get wide and they would start whispering to one another. When they saw Zach they seemed to glare at him and mutter curses.

I looked over at Zach whenever they started muttering. He would glare at them with hatred and them look at me and then look away. I felt the need to yell and shout at them to stop but i couldn't do that. Something told me not to.

"Zach you can go home i will take Raven the rest of the way." Nikky said looking back at us.

"I'm staying." He said. His voice dead.

"Fine but don't be mean." She said glaring at him.

We walked until we were in front of a very big place it was just like the rest of the village but it seemed to have a hint of something from back home. A light that we use to have. For some unexplained reason I felt like I shouldn't go in. That if i went in i would never ever again feel happiness like I had before. Something was wrong. Very wrong.

"Raven?" Nikky asked. Looking at me. I was frozen in place.

"I cant go in there." I said softly pain in my voice.

"Whats wrong?" Zach asked confused.

"I cant go! I just cant." I said backing up away from the place with so much pain.

"But you must!" Nikky said running up and grabbing my hand trying to pull me towards the place.

"Nikky!" Zach yelled and pulled her hand off of me.

"She must!" Nikky cried out.

"Let her run. Shes to weak to enter the place of the king! Shes frail and is but a newborn to us! Let her leave." He said his voice a hiss.

"I am no newborn here! I am not weak! I can enter but i wish not to!" I yelled out.

"You are a coward." Zach said and i felt my anger rise and i felt the need to lash out the need to hurt him the way he was trying to hurt me.

"Coward? You who took Nikky from her home? From her people? I am no coward but you are! You wanted Nikky to yourself! You didn't want to share her with anyone. You stole her and now you yourself dosent want to enter." I said reaching deep within him to find all of his secrets.

His face held shock and hate then it all melted to fury and I swear to god her was going to hit me but then a voice rose out and called to us. It was a voice i use to know. It was the voice that sang me to sleep when i was young. It was the voice that told me everything would be alright since we were together and told me stories and who hugged me when i was sad and needed a hug. The voice that once told me that she would always be by my side and never leave me. It was the voice of my mother.

"Children be calm and still. Do not fight anymore for i am here. Come into are home young ones." She said with a pleasant smile on her face. My mother. Brown hair and ice blue eyes. She didnt even know who I was! The women who gave birth to me and Ryan didnt know who i was. The woman who promised me she would come back!

"My Queen." Zach said and bowed. She nodded and smiled. Then looked at Nikky.

"Step mother." Nikky said and bowed the same. Then she looked at me. There was no way i was going to bow to her. I stood stock still and didn't move an inch. She narrowed her eyes at me and i sensed her trying to will me to bow down to her. My great and powerful mother. My mother was here and she was watching me trying to make me bow. And she didn't know who i was! I forced her power away. It was easy. Child play.

"Who is this? And why dose she not bow down to me?" She asked her voice cold.

"Do not say my name." I hissed under my breth.

"She is from a wolf pack." Zach said and bowed again to her.

"So that is why she has no respect for me! That of a wolf pack!" She said laughing with glee.

"She wished to come here." Nikky said but she didn't bow.

"Come my daughter let us go to your father little one and bring your mut." She said and waved her hand at me. I jumped forward and i was growling and hissing with rage. Zach jumped to me and wrapped his arms around me to keep me from killing my mother. My mother stared at me with a smile on her face.

"Dont you know dog that if you strick me down my coven will kill you and your pack?" she asked me.

"Would you dare kill my pack! Your a traitor to my people! Your own people! The people you were born with!" I growled out my voice deep with anger.

"What makes you think i am a traitor?!" She said her face was full out fury.

"You left your people! For a vampire! You had two kids that don't belong! Did you know that as we speak you daughter was banned form her home just like you and only because she did not like your sons mate! He banned his own twin sister! She walks around now killing anything and everything she hates!" I screamed at her my own fury rising.

"And how would you know such things?" She yelled back at me.

"Tell my what my name is! Then I will tell you how i know." I yelled at her.

"How am I to know what a lonely wolf like you is called?!" She yelled.

"Think about it!" I hollered back at her.

"How dare you speak to me like that! I could have you dead in and instant!" She screamed.

"Then kill me." I said in a deadly voice.

"My pleasher you ungrateful little bitch." She hissed at my then jumped at me and i pulled free of Zach and i moved so i that i was behind her and she was pinned to the ground.

"I don't see you killing me." I said and laughed.

"How did you move so fast no wolf can move like that only my-" She stopped and her eyes widened a bit and i knew why.

"Like your what?" I asked in a small voice.

"My daughter Raven." She said and Zach inhaled sharply.

"Daughter?!"Nikky yelped.

"Yes i have kids nikky honey when i was in the pack i had twins. It was very rare for twins to be born so when Raven and Ryan were born it was very special. But they wernt wolfs. They were hafe vampire hafe wolf." She said her eyes were spacing off

"Lets take this somewhere else." Said a man with black hair and pale skin and rosy red lips. He was tall and graceful. Way to graceful for a normal vampire.

"Yes." she said and i jumped off of her and i was at Zachs side in a blink of an eye. I dont know why i was at his side it just felt right.

"Come young ones. Oh and you to mut." She said and walked up and the one with dark hair put his arm around her. I almost gagged.

"Calm down." Zach said and shocked me by putting his arm around my waist.

"I am trying to." I hissed under my breath.

"Just stay calm and it will be fine." He said and we started walking. Nikky looked at me and then him and smiled.
