Love Like Ours Is Rare Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3: LEARNING WHO I AM

I looked around the dimly lit hall and wondered where Raven was.

"Raven! Mom said its time to eat! Please come out!" I yelled and looked for her.

'Come on brother! Its not even 7:00! I wont fall for it' Raven said in my head.

‘You’re dumb! Now I know your some where close cuz you can hear me duh' I said into her mind

'No I can get into your head! I know what you say when you say it' She shot back.

'Ya whatever.' I said back and looked around. I heard a shot then a bang and ran over to dads study.

"Don’t you dare tell me there not mine! They are mine! I raised them!" I heard dad shout.

"No I’m so sorry it wasn’t suppose to happen. You know we didn’t imprint. Well you didn’t but I did. On a vampire. His name is Marcus. Please don’t be mad at me." Are mother said threw her tears.

"You’re telling me that the children i have raised are not mine?! They are a vampires?!" Dad shouted.

"Well I’m s-sure Raven is hafe but Ryan holds no power. He cant run like her. He’s not graceful at all. He cant even stand to be without his twin when Raven is off with her friends." Mom said her voice had grown stronger with each word.

"Ryan will get the thron then." Dad said and mom started to sob.

"Don’t do that to Raven! She loves you so much! Please don’t push her away because of me." Moms voice was filled with sadness.

'Brother? Are you going to find me?' Ravens voice popped into my head.

'No I don’t want to play anymore.' i said back and shut my mind from hers.

"She’s not my daughter! How am i going to giver her the thron when vampire blood runs threw her vains?!" Dad asked.

"She’s still a wolf." Mom said in a whisper.

"Go to your vampire lover. Don’t come back here." Dad said and stood up. I ran as fast as I could to my room.

I opened my eyes and my body was covered in sweat. Just a dream Raven. Just a dream. But I remember that day. The first time Ryan shut his mind to me. I looked around and saw where I was. I was in a hotel room. The shades were shut but some light was getting threw. I sat up and went into the bathroom. It was small and brightly lit. I looked into the mirror and at my reflection. My hazel eyes were bright yet dim my Black hair was messy. I looked like shit. I took a shower and got out and combed threw my hair i brushed my teeth and then got dressed. I put on my light green tank top and then my navy blue jean skirt. Then i grabbed my backpack and put my clothes in it then made sure i left nothing behind and walked out into the hall.

It was brightly lit and the walls were a bright red. Can you say eww! I walked to the elevator and waited for it to open when it did I got in and hit floor 1. As I was going down the elevator stopped twice and a man and women were now with me on the elevator. When the doors closed on the man the room filled with the smell of wolf. But not from my pack. He smiled at me and went to the back. Then when the women came in she two smelled like wolf but not like the man or my pack. She smiled at me then went to the back.

"So..." The man said his voice was deep.

"Hmm...?" The women said in reply.

"What brings your family here Nora?" He asked

"Same as yours. There’s a wolf out there who has no pack and she has hafe vampire blood. If we find her and let her in are pack we will rule over the rest." The women said.

"Oh.. How about you?" The man asked me.

"No reason at all. I just travel." I said.

"Oh. You smell wolf. Anyway i heard that her old pack disowned her because she didn’t like the alphas mate. Oh and the best part is that the alpha is her twin brother. Priceless." The man said.

"Oh? Wouldn’t that be well a little hard to take over since they have a hafe blooded in there ranks and an alpha none the less." The women said startled

"It doesn’t matter! She is stronger then her brother! She will bring us power when I get my hands on her!" The man said with glee. I spun towards them.

"Heres the deal. If you only want her for power she won’t come. She wants a home. Not to be used. He brother disowned her and she has no family left." I said and watched as there face held shook.

"H-How do you know?" The guy asked.

"Because I’m her." I said and looked at there shocked faces. When the doors opened i left and walked out of the hotel and walked down the sidewalk. The sun was bright and warm. It reminded me of my mom. She was always so vibrant. I loved her to death. But she did the thing that we are to never do. She mated with a vampire. It was forbidden. I looked around at all the people who all had family’s and love. I had none. I had no love. Nobody loved me. I had no family. Not since mom left. I stopped when I was at the edge of the forest and I looked into the green place that was warm and inviting. I stepped into the forest and a blanket of peace rapted around me.

I walked deeper into the forest and as I walked I brushed my mind against Ryan and it wasn’t closed. Hmm....

"I can’t let her live! She’s going to try to take over! You know that better then the rest grandfather! You watched as she progressed in her training! She’s better at everything! She more vampire the wolf!" I yelled as I paced in front of our grandfather.

"Young one. Be calm. You and your sister are connected in so many ways that if she wanted to kill you you would have known. And yes you are right she’s more vampire then wolf. But you are wolf. You can hunt her if you wanted to. That’s what you were born to do Ryan. I love Raven just like you use to! She hunghts my thoughts and my dreams. And i know you miss her just as much as I do maybe even more." He’s voice old with age seemed to spark to life.

"I care nothing for Raven. She may be my twin but she is not a sister to me." I said with a bitter note in my voice.

"Ryan you are young. You know how much your mother loved you and your sister." He said and shook his head.

"My mother was a vampire lover! She betrayed this pack!" I yelled.

"What is it that makes her a traitor? Is it the fact that she went to her imprint? When one imprints it is hard for them to think you should know that better then anybody Ryan. Your mother went to the vampire. And she had you and your sister. Ryan and Raven the most wonderful children in the world." He said with love.

"She left father for her imprint! And Raven had left us for a vampire!" I felt anger towards the man that had raised me after father had died.

"No child. Raven never left for a vampire. She left for you. You made her leave. She would still be here. She would be by your side with a smile one her face and she would pretend that she was happy here with you when everytime you were with Abby it killed her to be there. You trusted Abby with your life. You left your twin alone and scared. She had never been alone with you there by her side." He said wisely. Looking into my eyes.

"NO! She left me alone! She hated me because I found love! She’s a bitter person! She doesn’t care about anyone!" I screamed at the old man.

"That’s not true. It’s never been true. Maybe now that you have forbidden her from her home she is. But she loved you. She hated your mate because your mate wanted her dead and you could have stopped it but you just let it happen. Your sister had a heart of gold and she was pure. She was untouched by evil. It was you that kept her that way and now that you have left her side she kills almost anything that makes her mad. You saw the way she attacked you." Grandfather said and looked straight into my eyes.

"Then tell me what should I do? If you’re so wise then tell me how to defeat my sister. Tell me how to make it so she is no more then dirt." I said to grandfather.

"Show her love Ryan and she will not turn against you. Wolfs all over the world want her because you two are the ones who will rule the world. You and your sister will Rule over humans, wolfs, and vampires with out a problem but since you have turned against each other there will be a war. Races will fight for her packs will fall. Your sister wont go to any packs unless she has ties with them. She wants a home and she wants a family. Give her back her home and your sister will be back and no war will happen." Grandfather said then stood up and gave me a slight hug then left the room. Love. Show Raven love? Never. He won’t make me and I won’t let there be war she has turned her back on her pack. She’s a traitor and a vampire.....

I pulled out of Ryans mind and looked around started that i was not in that brightly lit room in my home. I was in the forest very deep in the forest. I was aware of eyes watching me. I looked closer but saw nothin. I stopped and sat down. The ground was soft and as I sat I thought of my mother. She had long brown hair. She was the one every man wanted yet nobody could have her. People had tried and tried to get my mothers heart But only one did. My father. My mother loved my father. How? How could a vampire captured my mothers heart? I know what happens when somebody imprints. I have seen it threw Ryan’s eyes so many times when ever he looked at Abby. But my mother with a vampire? How had it happen? I still remember moms light blue eyes flashing when ever she talked about vampires. I had always wondered why but when i found out it felt like she had stabbed me in the back.

I heard a twig snap and my head snapped around and there was the boy Zach and that little girl Nikky. They looked at me. The little girl took a step forward then Zach put a hand to stop her.

"Its ok. She won’t hurt us. I feel nothing wrong coming from her. Only sadness." Nikky said and brushed Zachs hand away and walked up to me.

"What if she snaps? I mean what if she gets mad? Will you know before hand? Nikky you are..." He stopped and didn’t finish his eyes locked on me.

"Zach don’t be a worry wart. I mean come on! Look at her! She needs are help." Nikky said and put a hand on me.

"Nikky yesterday you didn’t want anything to do with her." Zach said and took a step towards us.

"But I didn’t know how she smelled. She had this strange sent it was different from wolfs or vampires it was in between. Zach shes both wolf and vampire." Nikky said and Zach looked at me in shock.

"Both? But that means her mom was ether wolf or hafe vampire." He said shocked.

"My mom was a wolf." I said in a quite voice. They looked at me there eyes wide.

"Oh? Your mom broke one of your packs rules." Nikky said.

"To tell the truth she was going to be the alpha. Her dad had died and she was his only child but her dad didn’t tell her that he had planned for her to marry this guy so he would be alpha. Then one day she was walking threw the forest. She meet a vampire and imprinted." I said remembering the stories she told me as I went to bed each night.

"Oh.. Do you know his name?" Zach asked. I thought back to that dream i had and knew that it wasn’t a dream it was a memory. Ryan’s memory.

"N-no." I stuttered. Crap why was I lying to him?!

"Hmm to bad..." He said and looked away into the forest.

"Zach can she come home with us?" Nikky asked her eyes pleading.

"If she is good." Zach said and I smiled I stood up and looked at Nikky she was about to my shoulder. she smiled at me and grabbed my hand.

"You have to meet the king! He will be so happy to meet you!" She said and pulled me towards the forest. Zach kept his eyes on me as we disappeared into the forest.....
