Love Like Ours Is Rare Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1: THE FIGHT

I felt the warm air rush past my face. It felt like it was wrapping me up. My midnight black hair flew in the wind. Hell seemed like heaven at the moment. I could wish for hell and I would probably take it with open arms. I looked around at all the faces around me and I felt my heart break at the last face. He was strong and well built he had light black hair . His eyes were a deep shade of Hazel. His name was Ryan. He was my twin brother. His eyes were hard and he seemed like a whole different person then my beloved brother.

"Do you have anything left to say before you die?" Ryan asked his eyes held hate towards me.

"Yes I do my brother." I said and looked around at my pack. They judge me for crimes that I had nothing to do with.

"Say it now before you are killed." He said and didn’t look away from me.

"Will you answer your dear old sister a question?" I asked and watched as his eyes held no emotion.

"Yes." he said and i felt hope rise.

"How can you do this to your twin? We did everything together. We hunted together. We grew up together. We killed together." I said the last sentence with bitterness. I was the one to die today. He was the one to kill me today. I felt my mind race like it always did when I was in trouble. But it didn’t know who it should race to. It always raced to my brother but he was the enemy here.

"I Have to protect are pack sister. Even if it means you must die." He said and i felt a smile on my face. I was pined to a stake and I was about to burn to death by my own pack and I was about to smile? What the hell?!

"Kill me brother. Do it now. Because the more you wait the more ways my mind finds ways out of this." I said and smiled at him and saw his eyes flash with hate.

"Burn her." He said and waved his hand and the flames started at the end of the pit.

"To bad brother. You will feel bad when you will know you murdered you sister under false pretenses." I said and felt my smile widen.

"They are all true!" A voice boomed from next to him. The little witch. My brothers mate. She had red flowing hair down to her shoulders. Her skin was dark and her eyes were a bright blue her skin was tight and outlined her bones. She was no cutie but my brother imprinted on her. Her voice was husky.

"Prove to me Abby that they are true." I said and cocked my head to the side.

"Enough!" My brothers voice rang out. The sound of the alph was in the voice then an idea hit me.

"Brother! I know how you can know the truth!" I said. The flames getting closer to my feet.

"How is that?" He asked me his voice was cold.

"Make the alpha ask me make him command me to tell the truth!" I said and felt hope wash over me.

"Tell the truth Raven of the water pack. Did you betray your pack?" The alpha was clearly in the voice.

"No i did not betray my pack." I said and smiled when I the flames vanished. Everyone sighed and smiled tears falling from there eyes as I was released and i jumped down from the pit.

"You are free sister." my brother said. No emotion in his voice.

"I can see that." I said and walked away into the castle and up into my room. The walls were brightly colored and the floor was pink. My bed had gold sheets and pillows and a blood red canopy. I went and laid down I my bed and felt tears come to my eyes. I almost died today. By my own brother. Abby will die. One way. I felt them run down the sides of my face and I felt fear.

"Raven?" Asked a voice and I looked up to see Amy. Abbys sister. She had shoulder length brown hair and her skin was tan she was skinny but not like Abby.

"Oh hi Amy." I said and smiled and sat up.

"May i come in?" She asked a little scared.

"Yes you can." I said and waved my hand towards her. She walked in and i waved my hand and the door shut.

"I-I just wanted to tell you that you should leave the pack. Abby has it out for you and I don’t want you to die." Amy said and tears rushed down her face. I was over 200 years old and I didn’t look a day older the 17. And as for Abby? She’s still young she’s only 90 years old! Ha and I should be afraid? Hahaha!!

"Amy, I am 200 years old." I said and watched her face widen nobody knew how old me and Ryan were. So I continued, "She is a mere baby to me. She won’t touch me and she can’t pin anything on me when the alpha has power." I said and smiled.

"But the alpha imprinted on her! She can control him!" She screeched at me.

"He is my brother! My twin brother! He won’t do that when we are connected." I said and smiled at her.

"Oh and dinner is done." Amy said her face full of sadness.

"Amy do not worry about me. I have fought vampires with more danger then Abby and her jealousy." I said and walked over and hugged her and waved my hand the door opened and we walked out. The hallway was very bright and colorful. The only thing that kept me here besides Ryan was this place. I had grown up here with Ryan at my side. As we grew up and are parents sent us to different schools. It was creepy being away from Ryan and I was very depressed. Mom had to drag Ryan back and bring him to my school and the minute I saw him I was happy and smiling and laughing and everything. They never put us apart again. I brushed my mind against his and felt him close his mind. He had been doing that for a long time. It hurt but I made myself smile and seem happy. I looked at the dinning room and felt the air. It was full of anger.

"Hello." I said my voice filled the room like a lullaby and I saw people stop talking and look at me I made my way to the front and sat down at my spot. I looked over at Ryan who gave me a hard look and I looked away. The room filled with talk.

"So Raven how have you been?" Abby asked and I looked over at her and let my feelings go.

"Like you care." I said a in a bitter voice. Never once have I been mean to her.

"Oh sister how could you be so mean?" She asked her voice full of hurt.

"Fine you want to know how I have been? Well considering I almost died today and my brother has no guilt about almost killing me I think I feel pretty shity." I said and smiled at her then got up and left. I felt the eyes on me. I went out into the garden and sat down and looked up at the stars. I heard someone coming no wait two people I stood up as Abby and Ryan came in Abby had tears flowing sown her face but there was a smile on her face. But when Ryan looked over at her smile was gone. He looked at me his eyes cold.

"Say sorry." Was all he said and I laughed.

"Oh that’s so childish! I mean come on! 'Say sorry.'? That’s funny!" I said and laughed again.

"Now Raven!" He said and i felt the alpha power in his voice.

"Don’t you dare make me say sorry to that thing! I have no reason to! She means nothing to me!" I said and rolled my eyes as anger filled his eyes.

"You are no longer aloud to be in this pack! Out by morning!!!" His voice rang with the alpha and I felt my heart shatter.

"Ryan." I said in a small voice but he turned and walked away. I watched as he left my face felt cold just like when I went into that depression. I walked into the only place I had ever called home and went to the room I had been sleeping in for 200 years. I pulled out a bag and a suitcase and started to pack. I had packed everything when the sun started to come out. I grabbed my bags and walked out of my room. Amy was there crying and Ryan and Abby were there. I looked at Ryan. My brother. My twin brother. I felt what was left of my heart turn to ice.

"There is a car at the gate waiting for you and I hope you graved everything because you will never be coming back." He said and for once his words didn’t shock me.

"You know I always thought i would know my twin for as long as we lived but I have no idea who you are anymore! I use to trust you know that? How foolish I was." I said and walked past him and his mate and walked out the door. As I got into the car I felt my life fade away.........
