I shook my head. No of course not. I thought I had the most amazing boyfriend ever I wouldn't trade him in the world for anyone else.
"Sorry about that." Derek said when we were in front of my house.
"It's fine, no worries, thanks but I gotta do some homework bye." I gave him a friendly hug and walked out the truck. When I opened the door my mom and dad were singing at the top of their lungs to an old CD.
"Hi sweetie, where were you?" My mom asked.
"With Derek at his family's restaurant." I explained.
"Did you have fun?" I nodded.
"Hey mom would it be alright if I can go to Jaden's?" I hoped they said yes. Please say it.
"Have you done your homework?" I shook my head.
"But I can work on it at his house plus we have a project." Okay maybe the last part was a lie, kill me I want to see Jaden. My mom looked at my dad looking into his eyes until he nodded.
"Alright, but make sure you call when you're coming home."
"Thanks mom and dad." I got up and grabbed my backpack from the floor and grabbed my keys.
"Hey." I said as Jaden opened the door.
"Hey I wasn't expecting you here. How did going to the diner go?" He asked.
"It was good Marla thought me and Derek were a couple. Ha can you believe it." I shook my head and laughed it off, he led me up to his room.
"Where's your mom?"
"Out with her co-workers." I nodded.

Jaden's POV
I looked at Nikole sitting on my bed with her left leg over her right. She's utterly beautiful, I smiled at her.
Nikole was now doing some homework, while the words of Karla's wiggled in my thoughts. What was I going to do? Warn Nikole? What was I supposed to say?
"Hey Nikole, Karla isn't really studying she's gonna backstab you and try to get me." Yeah right I snorted no way was I going there. Nikole looked tired and joined me on the bed, I pulled her close to me and kissed her. She giggled and kissed me back.

I left after having dinner with them and did some catching up to do. My face flushed every time I looked at Jaden, he stared back. My heart did a little jump. There is no way I like Derek at all. The way my heart leaps when I see Jaden. I didn't think that I would find love at a young age, but I was meant to be with Jaden.
"How was it sweetie?" My mom called.
"Good." I plopped down onto the island chair and looked at my mom. "Would you think I'm crazy? A hormone raging teen if-" I began.
"You told me that you love Jaden? No, when I fell in love with Patrick the first guy I loved when I was your age. My mother didn't think it was love. In fact I was grounded but that didn't stop me." I smiled while my mom's eyes were beaming.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Reality set in. He was off to Harvard Law School, we tried to make it work but it couldn't. I was lost at the time when I worked as a waitress trying to make ends meet, I met your father and the smile of his. I knew I met my soulmate."
"It's not too early?"
"When you love them it's never too early or late." I guess it made sense.
"Night sweetheart." My mom hugged me and walked out. I walked out minutes later to my room.

I was nervous as knots began to tighten in my stomach, I looked at the necklace for Nikole. It was a sterling silver with heart necklace with a matching ring. I texted Nikole to meet me at the beach house, she agreed any minute now she would be here. I love Nikole. I realized it after she left the way she smiles, her eyes the way they glisten. I couldn't describe my love for her. No words can even describe it.
"Jaden?" I heard her voice outside, I put the jewelry in my pocket and walked outside.
"Hey." I smiled at her.
"Hey you okay?"
"Yeah why do I look okay?" She looked me over.
"Hmm. I suppose." She smiled.
"You look great just worried or nervous?"
"A little of both." I replied.

I was confused as to why we were here Jaden didn't tell me anything. He pulled me to the beach that had a picnic basket and a rose sticking out. He handed me the rose.
"I brought you here for a reason."
"Oh?" I said confused he pulled me on his lap.
"Remember the first day we met? That was the day my life changed and for the better. Without you my life wouldn't feel complete. I love you Nikole." He said and pulled out a jewelry box and contained a sterling silver necklace and a ring. No way. I caught my breath not dating to say a word.
"This isn't an engagement ring, just a promise ring. I promise that I'll always love you and that some day I'll marry you." He said.
"Jaden with you in my life I've never been happier I love you. I'll promise to keep our love alive as long as we live." I looked up to his face and kissed him, he placed the necklace and the ring on me.
"It's beautiful I honestly don't know what to say."
"Ssshhh." He placed his finger on my lip.
"Don't say anything." He then removed his finger replacing it with his lips. I kissed him back with such love. He deepened the kiss biting my lip demanding entrance I let him. There was no stopping.
"Omgosh no way!" Trixie and Amber yelled.
"Ssshhh, can you seriously tell by looking at my face?" I asked them.
"That and of course he gave you a promise ring. How romantic I wish there were more guys like him." Amber replied I knew I was lucky to have Jaden, I also knew they were telling the truth. I smiled instead of wanting to hide.
"Alright ready class? Pick a partner and I want you to mirror everything." The teacher's voice rose. I picked Derek he was my best guy friend next to Jaden.

"Did you honestly do the same thing?" Her voice rung.
"What same thing would that be Karla?"
"The whole I love you crap." She spat.
"I do love Nikole I didn't know the meaning until I was with her." I shot back.
"So that's it huh? A promise ring to lure her in pathetic." She crossed her arms over her belly that was taking shape, I opened my mouth to say something but she talked instead. "Let her bask in the moment before she realizes your job will catch up to you. Did you already forget about the movie that you're filming in Europe?" She cocked her head to the side.

"Please Jaden you were dying to film the movie besides we were still together at times."
"You're only gonna break her heart and only to help, pick those pieces up is Derek." She walked away smug. I still have time I thought 3 weeks to be exact.
