Love is Bull**** - Ch. 7
Enjoy :) Sorry for any grammar mistakes...I didn't have time to proofread it. And if I did it would take another few days - yeah, I'm that busy :(
I opened the door with a sigh, and silently thanked the heavens that school was done for the day. I had no homework, a fridge full of food, and a nice long evening to myself. I had assumed that Aaron was gone, ignoring my order to stay home and relax and was probably at work. I would be a teacher soon, once I finished six months of school, and I couldn't wait. I loved working with kids, and would sometime daydream of having my own classroom. I rummaged through the refrigerator for anything good to eat, and pulled out left overs from a Chinese restaurant. I popped it in the microwave and waited for the beep patiently. The door opened and Aaron walked in, his eyes blood-shot and bags under them.
"Hey," I greeted him and he made a grunting noise at me.
"Are you okay?" I asked him as I grabbed my Chinese food, and put it on the counter.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he said gruffly and shook his head.
"I find that hard to believe," I laughed quietly and went to him.
I put my hand against his forehead checking for a fever, but didn't find any.
"I told you to take it easy today," I chided him and he rolled his eyes at me.
"This is what you get when you don't listen to me," I asked at him and a smile appeared on his lips.
"Yes, mother," he teased back and I laughed.
"Go get in bed," I ordered and he pretended to sulk all the way there.
I split my Chinese food in half and put one half on a plate before bringing it to him.
"You really are a pathetic sight," I giggled as he glared at me.
"Here," I handed him the plate of food and he thanked me.
I grabbed his plate as soon as he was done eating and left his room.
"Night," I said before I turned off his light and closed his door.

I lay snuggled up in my blankets as the thunder crashed, and the lightning lit up the sky. I shivered under my blankets and my breathing began to accelerate. As another stroke of lightning began I scrambled out of my bed and headed to my kitchen. I searched the cabinets frantically, cursing my irrational fear of thunder storms.
"Medicine, medicine, medicine," I chanted under my breath as I knocked my silverware out-of-the-way.
They flew toward the ground and clinked, making a bunch of noise.
"Medicine," I continued my chant as I slammed the current cabinet I was looking in and went to another.
Pans fell to the ground and hit my foot as I shoved them aside.
"Damn!" I yelled as I grabbed my foot with my hand as thunder roared.
Aaron came in the kitchen his eyes wide, his breathing heavy as he took in the sight of me.
"What the fuck is going on?" he asked me as I continued to hold my foot.
My eyes were wide as I saw the sky light up and I squeaked in fear. I put my foot on the ground and continued my frantic search.
"Naomi! Chill out!" he yelled at me and I froze.
My hands were shaking as he made his way over to me, and my mind was blank. Fear had enveloped me completely, and I lost all logic.
"Naomi? What are you looking for?" he asked me gently and placed his hands on me as I jumped due to the lightning.
I forgot what I was looking for and scrambled my brain trying to remember. Another pan hit the floor causing me to scream and jump in Aaron's arms. My breathing was erratic, as he held me but I eventually settled down .
"I have an irrational fear of thunderstorms," I managed to explain my head buried in his chest.
"I -," I cut off forgetting my sentence as his hand rubbed my back.
"I - Medicine," I whispered not sure if he could hear me.
"Shhh, let's get you in bed," he soothed me and picked me up.
He carried me towards my bed and I grabbed his hand as thunder rolled in the background.
"Stay?" I asked him my body visibly shaking.
He smiled gently and got in bed with me. I curled my body next to him and gripped him tightly, afraid that he was going to leave me.
"I won't let anything happen to you," he whispered in the dark and held me tightly.
I relaxed into him, believing his words completely. Nothing was going to happen to me, he would make sure of it.
