Love is a strong word--Part eight--The surgery

Sorry it took me forever...
When I woke up again a nurse was sitting by my bed, her face soft and kind. "How do you feel?" she asked me.

"I'm ok...." I replied

"You are going to have surgery tomorrow and you should be fine, we will fight that tumor together"

"Wait, surgery! I can’t afford this!"

"There is something else I need to talk to you about, that man that brought you in, he paid for everything, and he left you this" she said handing me a envelope, after she left I opened it, I read it, it said:

But wherefore do not you a mighter way
make war upon this bloody tyrant time?
and fortify yourself in your decay
with means more blessed that my barren ryme?
now stand you on the top of happy hours,
And many maidens gardens, yet unset,
with virtuous wish would bear your living flowers,
much liker than your painted counterfeit.
so should the lines of life that life repair,
which this time's pencil, or my pupil pen,
neither in inward worth nor outward fair
can make you live yourself in eyes of men.
to give away yourself keeps yourself still,
and you must live, drawn by your own sweet skill

Lilly,

I think that we need to split up, I found a better girl to stand at the top of the pyramid with me, I did all I can for you but well, you will never find me, so I hope that you find full happiness, even though I know it would never be with me, I took the liberty of dropping off your stuff with you, the nurses have it. I hope you have the happiest of lives

-Viren

I buried my head in my lap and let the pain drain out in easy slow tears, my once perfect eyeliner sending black tears to leave dark trails from where every drop had went. The next day I had the surgery done and in the weeks that came full of recovery I became adapted to the loneliness of no one to hold, no one to feel the warmth of. I even made the friends with the brown haired nurse that came to visit me the day that came after the surgery, her name was Cherry. I found out about her boy troubles as well, the guy she was seeing at the time, oh how I longed to meet him. About her friend Maxx. And how hard it was to be a nurse. We had a lot of fun and when it was time to leave the hospital will be honest, I didn’t know where to go, Cherry let me stay with her till I could get back on my feet. The room wasn’t much, but it felt like home, the first night I stayed I got to meet her boyfriend, his name was Dark.

I feel asleep comfortably that night and the next morning I stammered out into the kitchen and poured myself a bowl of fruit loops. I was wearing only pajama pants and a bra. Cherry was in the kitchen, when she smiled and chuckled a little. The door opened and in came the hottest guy I ever saw! He had Black hair, emo cut, and green eyes that just sparkle against that hair. He was wearing skinny jeans, a red shirt and a coat that was obviously made for a girl, but looked great on him anyway. "Hey Maxx" I heard Cherry say from in the kitchen. I stood up and walked over to him.

"Hi I’m Lilly" I said and looked down at what I was wearing, he smiled. "Uh and I gotta go" I said running to my room.

If I heard right I could have swore I heard him say, "Hey, nice pokadots" I looked down to notice my bra had pokadots on it. i threw a shirt on and walked back out.

"Anyway I’m Lilly, you must be Maxx" I said smiling at him.
