Love Includes Everything - Chap. 24

Pricilla...

The last thing I wanted to see on this earth was Dan and Riya kissing and hugging. I was angry, mad and wanted to throw her somewhere Dan would never find her. I didn't sleep that night and kept on pacing inside the house. I was planning another way to separate them but couldn't get any. So I decided at least I could keep them engaged so that they won't have time for each other. The next morning I dressed for work and went to the dining table and Dan was eating his breakfast as fast as he could.
"Do you have a minute for me Dan?" I asked him and Riya just looked at me.
"Sorry Prissy. Am in a hurry" he said and Riya ran to their room to get something. She then put a tie around his shirt collar as he was drinking his morning juice. He then leaned in closer smiling mischievously at her and she punched him on his shoulder. He then set his juice on the counter and pulled her closer by her waist. They both stood there romancing, smiling and laughing while I got mad at them here.

"Am sorry to disturbed you in your romance time Dan" I said with hands on my hips and riya turned to give me a scowl.
"Am really running late Prissy. We'll talk in the evening, right?" he asked and I nodded. He grabbed his bag and kissed her before leaving. I too went out of the house as soon as I could.
That evening Dan was really late and apologized since he was not in for a talk with me. I acted like a good girl and didn't say anything. The week passed by and I found the right time to talk to him.
"Dan" I called him since he was watching football game.
"Yeah. Sorry Prissy. This week was really hectic. You said you wanted to talk to me about something, right?" he said and I nodded sitting on the couch near him.
"Dan I thought I would visit your family before going back. Can you take me tomorrow?" I asked hesitantly but a bit afraid what he would say. He was silent thinking about it.

"Do you mind going by yourself?" he asked then.
"Why? Don't you want to see your family too?" I asked really confused.
"Riya's having some work party this week and I need to go with her. A true husband's work" he said smiling at me.
"Can't you try coming?" I asked again and he shrugged tipping his head to one side. "Then it's fine. I'll be going tomorrow morning" I said and went to my room.

The next day there was a loud conversation going on outside the room. Dan was shouting at Riya and I felt happy since the fight was on its own. I got dressed happily and headed out to see the drama. Dan looked as if he was going somewhere.
"Morning Prissy" Dan said smiling at me and I wished back. "You in for a good news now?" he asked raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah" I replied happily wanting to know what that would be.
"Am coming home with you" he said grinning at me and I couldn't say how happy I was. She would be here all alone and I would be enjoying with my Dan. That was exactly perfect.
"Good. I'll wait near the car. Come fast" I said and went down taking my bag for the weekend.

I stood there all happy and was thinking about the happy moments that were to come. I adjusted my jeans and shirt to give a good look. Dan came down smiling happily and packed our bags in the car and we got in. I sat with him in the front so that it would be easier for me. He stopped the car as soon as we were out of the parking lot.
"Forgot something Dan?" I asked looking at him confused.
"Nope" he said smiling at me and then I saw her running towards the car. I looked at Dan and he was still smiling.
"Is she coming too?" I asked him

"Yeah, of course" he said and Riya stood knocking the window and I opened the door.
"That's my seat" she said and I got out to sit behind.
Riya...
I was at work taking care of the arrangements for the work party when Dan called. It was the fifteenth time he was calling.
"Dan" I said a bit louder picking up the phone.
"What are you still doing there? It's almost eight. am hungry" he said sounding upset.
"Has the kitchen gone somewhere or have you become blind?" I asked him laughing lightly.

"I've become lazy" he said and I could imagine his smiling face.
"Then it's time for the bones to work Dani" I said
"Come home soon cherry. Please. Am dying" he begged.
"Am almost done here Dani. Will be there soon" I said and we hung up. The arrangements were completely done and Ben called me to his room as I was checking if everything was perfect.

Ben, our boss, looked upset and every one from the office were there. I stood near Casey and asked her what the matter was and she shrugged rubbing her plump belly.
"I have a bad news" Ben said and we all looked at each other. "I appreciate everybody's work to arrange for the party, but it's not gonna happen now. Mr. Towens met with an accident. So this is postponed to... well who knows when. cancel everything" he said and walked out of the room. We all sighed and some people got upset too.

"Thank god, it got canceled. Am having a lot of contractions lately" Casey said rubbing her huge belly.
"Go home Casey. You'll feel alright. want me to call Kane?" I asked
"He's already here" she said looking behind me and I turned around. we three talked for a while and then headed our way.
"Am home Dan" I said opening the door and then saw him staring at me with a frown and I went and sat on his lap throwing my bag on a nearby couch.
"Get off me" he said mocking anger and I circled my arms around his neck and he closed his eyes while his lips twitched up a little. I laughed at him and he opened his eyes laughing too and kissed me. "I've got something for you" he said and carried me into the kitchen. I sat on the kitchen counter and he handed me a plate.
"Pancakes!" I said "What! You made it?"
"Yeah. For my sweet cherry whose late from work" he said sitting up with me.

"Oh God. Am so exhausted" I said in bed after I freshened up.
"You don't look like it though" Dan said kissing me
"Please Dan. Let me sleep. See my eyes are drooping" I said turning to my side and he pulled me closer to him turning me. "Please Dan. Not today" I said patting his cheeks.
"We make love and you sleep better" he said kissing me again.
"No. Please understand Dan. I can't" I begged him and he turned to his side mad at me. "Now don't act as if you are on your periods coz I am" I said smiling at him and he turned smiling too.

"Am sorry" he said and we both laughed. "Are you in pain?" he asked looking concerned.
"Not if you hug me to sleep" I said
"So how are the party arrangements?" he asked stroking my hair.
"Oh Dan! It's all a waste. It's postponed to who knows when coz Mr. Towens met with an accident" I said snuggling closer.
"Then, do you wanna go over and see my family tomorrow? Prissy asked me if I would come with her" he asked
"That would be nice" I said kissing him.

The next morning Dan was shouting at me to get ready soon. We were running here and there picking up stuffs and packing our bag.
"I'll be down there. Come fast" he said and left taking the bags with him. I took all my toiletries in a separate bag and locked all the doors before going out. I ran to the car and saw Prissy sitting in front with Dan. I knocked the window and she opened the door.

"This is my place" I told her and she got out to sit behind. She was silently staring at me the whole way. We reached there and Dan's dad opened the door. We exchanged pleasantries and shared some funny stories. There was full of laughter in the living room. Then I went into the kitchen to help with the lunch.
"I'll cut it mom" I said to Dan's mom and took the knife from her. Prissy came in and I saw Kate staring at her. Prissy averted her gaze from her stare and sat opposite to me.

"When are you getting laid Prissy?" Kate asked her and she stared at me, then Kate.
"I always thought it would be you and Dan" Dan's mom said to Prissy and we all looked at her. "You both made a cute pair" she said smiling and Prissy looked at me proudly. "But am very much glad that you came along" she said placing her hand on my right cheek and smiled. "I would say that you are the best thing that happened to Dan so far" she said and I smiled back at her. Kate winced at me and Prissy was clenching her teeth.

That night I was sitting on the stairs unable to sleep. I was thinking about a way to prove Prissy wrong. I didn't know what to do and prayed god to help me.
"Still up?" someone said and I turned to see Kate.
"Hey. Just couldn't sleep" I said and she sat beside me on the stairs.
"I know the reason Riya" she said and I looked confused at her
"No. Am sure you don't" I said looking at her
"Well, I know Sweety. It's about Pricilla, right?" she asked and I looked at her really surprised. Kate was always a good friend to me. She was gentle, wise and very much caring.
"How did you know?" I asked her
"I knew" she said stroking my hair and tears showed up on my eyes.
"I just couldn't understand why she's doing this Kate" I said wiping my tears.
"You know, she always had a crush on him. From when we were all friends. She never allowed any girl to pair up with Dan while we played. It was always her" she said laughing lightly.
"It was back then. Now I am his wife. You know how much Dan believes her? I told him everything Kate, but still he doesn't believe me" I said as the tears started flowing again.

"Then you've got to show him this" she said getting up and I looked at her puzzled. "Wait here. will be back in a sec" she said and went towards her room. I sat there not knowing what was Kate up to. and she came and sat beside me again. "Here" she handed something and I took it.
"It's our wedding invitation" I said puzzled again
"Then have a look inside" she said gesturing me to open it. I did as she said and was shocked to see that my name was stricken and her name was written in it. I looked at Kate. "I caught her doing this and she didn't see me. Thank god she left this behind by mistake" she smiled at me and tears flowed down my cheeks again.

"Kate" I said unable to speak more
"Oh Riya. That's ok" she said hugging me.
"She's really this mad at me, huh?" I said crying on her shoulders.
"Don't cry Riya. She's really crazy, ok. Dan is yours. he loves you. not her. She really needs to give her nasty thoughts a rest. Show this Dan tomorrow. now go sleep. Goodnight" she said and kissed my cheek before leaving. I sat there staring at the invitation and decided to end everything tomorrow.

Daniel...

We were at my house for the weekend. Nothing would become so perfect. Julia said she would come on Sunday since josh had some work on Saturday. The day went great and Riya was really at ease after a really long time. We couldn't find time for each other in the crowd.
"O, come here" I whispered to her when she was busy in the kitchen.
"What Dan?" Riya asked coming into our room.
"I want a kiss" I said pulling her closer.
"No" she said struggling with me.
"Then you are not getting out of my arms" I said pinning her to the wall.
"Dan! Wats gotten into you?" she asked placing her arms around my neck playing with the hair in my nape.
"I love you" I said leaning in to kiss her. The kiss grew passionate and she moaned.
"Sorry, I didn't see anything" Kev said closing his eyes.
"You spoiled everything mate" I said punching his arm and he shouted and Riya was all red being caught.

I saw Riya staring at Prissy constantly during dinner and it really made me uncomfortable.
"You really aren't that comfortable with her being here, right?" I asked when she came to bed and she just smiled lying near me.
"Do you think this bed is enough for us?" she asked changing the subject. I pulled her closer and kissed her cheek.
"Now it's enough" I said resting my head on the pillow. I understood that she was not ready to talk about Prissy now. "Goodnight" I said kissing her and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes in the middle of the night disturbed by something and circled my arms around Riya, but she wasn't there. I opened my wide and looked here and there for her. The door opened then and I saw Riya walking in silently through the moonlight from the window.

"Hey, where did you go?" I asked softly
"You are up?" she asked with a crack in her voice and I turned on the lights sensing she had been crying. She hid her eyes from the light immediately.
"Have you been crying?" I asked sitting on the bed and she shook her head no. "I know you too well Riya. Don't lie to me" I said and saw she was holding something and frowned. "What's that?"
"It's just our wedding invitation Dan" she said sitting on the bed.
"Why are you crying looking at that? something wrong?" I asked pulling her closer.

"I wanted to show you this in the morning Dan, but since you asked look inside" she said giving the invitation to me and I opened it looking at Riya. When I bent down I was shocked to see Riya's name stricken and Prissy's name with mine. It was written in pen and I recognized Prissy's handwriting. I looked at Riya and she had tears in her eyes.
"What's this?" I asked her not able to believe my eyes

"I told you" she said and a tear dropped. "Kate gave it to me" she said wiping her tears. "She knew this from the beginning. Maybe even before me" she said looking at me and I was not able to look into her eyes. "Dan, you ok?" she asked placing her hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah" I said and fell back on the bed keeping the invitation under the pillow. Riya kissed my forehead and hugged me.
"Am sorry all this had to happen Dan" she said and I was unable to answer her. I didn't sleep the whole night and Riya was awake too just trying to soothe me. She kept saying that everything would be ok.

The next morning I went to the kitchen for breakfast and saw Prissy there.
"Morning Dan" she said smiling at me and I just stared at her. I wanted to ask everything but didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone. I looked at Kate and she was frowning at Prissy wiping a pan. I was waiting for the right time and called Riya and Kate to come with me.
"What's happening here?" Kev asked us.
"Nothing Kev" I said to him and turned to climb the stairs.
"I showed him Kate" Riya said
"What you showed him?" Kev asked.
"I said it's nothing" I shouted at him turning towards them.
"Kev knows it Dan" Kate told me and turned to her husband. "The invitation I showed you" she said and climbed the stairs behind me.

I knocked Prissy's door with the invitation in my hand.
"Ya. Come in" she said and we all went in. "Oh! I thought it was only one coming in" she said smiling at us and I kept staring at her. "Something wrong?" she asked looking at me. I threw the invitation on the bed and she frowned at it. "It's your wedding invitation Dan" she said taking it in her hand.
"Look inside to know what you've done to it" Kate said from behind and Prissy suddenly looked scared. She opened it and her eyes went wide and I could see her clearly afraid. She didn't look at any of us.

"Why did you do this?" I asked softly
"I didn't Dan" she said looking at me.
"How dare you lie? I saw you doing that on the eve of the wedding" Kate shouted at her.
"I didn't Dan. She is lying" she said looking into my eyes.
"Do you think am such a fool? I know your handwriting very well. I didn't believe my wife when she told me damn it. I believed you. And all you do to me is this. I thought so high of you and in real you've stooped so low?" I shouted at her.
"Dan please believe me. They all are wrong" she said as tears were flowing down her cheeks.
"Shut up" I shouted at her.

"Well then I will. Did you know how I felt about you from the beginning? And suddenly this bitch comes and says she was your girlfriend. You both kissed and romanced in front of me and you had no idea how I felt. YES. I did all I could to separate you. I wanted you to hate her. I created the fight and you will never know how happy I was when I heard you slapped her" she said smiling lightly.

"What!" both Kev and Kate said at the same time.
"That doesn't matter now, does it?" Prissy said again. "I love you Dan" she said softly.
"Shut up!" I shouted at her as my anger boosted up. I was so angry that I wanted to hit something really hard. "I don't want to hear any of your nonsense anymore. You are good actor Pricilla. Very good indeed. Pack your bags and get the hell out of this house. Now" I shouted and turned to back to my room. I banged the door hard and sat on the bed after knocking off the night lamp.

"Can I come in?" Riya asked from the doorway after some time and I nodded. "Am sorry Dan" she said hugging me. Tears started to collect in my eyes as I remembered slapping her.
"Am the one who has to be sorry here. I hurt you really bad, right. Am sorry sweetheart. Am sorry" I said crying on her shoulders.
"It's over Dan. Don't cry" she said and I was surprised that she wasn't crying now.
"I don't know what to say other than sorry Riya" I said wiping my tears.
"You don't have to say anything Dan. Everything will be alright" she said kissing the top of my head. "All I need to you to know is that I love you. I don't want any other woman to look at you the way I do" she said wiping my tears.
"I love you too Riya. Am sorry all this happened to us. I didn't even have a guess" I said and she shushed me with a kiss before I could talk further.
