Love In The Grave
Melancholy thoughts.
Voices,
Reflecting noises,
Spoken words,
Never heard,
They sound like rain
On an opaque window pane,
Unclear allusions
To my confusion.
Profound,
The deepest sound,
The cry of tears
Is all I hear,
In the darkened shadow
Of solitude's sorrow,
I feel so alone
In a crippled soul.
Ghosts
My memory hosts,
Reminisces
Of ancient wishes,
The derelict dreams of yesterday,
The nightmares of today,
The fear of loneliness
Born of silence.
Rows
Of written prose,
I read again
The letters sent,
The lies that are held within
Silent words of sin,
Unaccompanied renditions,
To a lonely condition.
Flowers
Wither and cower
From the creeping frosts,
They mourn the loss
Of a bright summer sun,
It will never return
From the thick blackness
Of engulfing loneliness.
Embers
Of burned out lovers
Who no longer love,
No longer crave
To be in each others arms,
No longer share the warmth
Of an embrace.
A love in the grave!
Reflecting noises,
Spoken words,
Never heard,
They sound like rain
On an opaque window pane,
Unclear allusions
