Love I Have Yet to Find
A poem about how you can search for love, but you should just let it find you.
My heart does yearn
For a loving smile
Hoping, searching
All the while
To find the one
It wants to love,
The perfect match
From up above.
That cherished soul,
My heart's desire,
The one who starts
My inner fire.
Looking for
But never finding,
He that makes
My heart go flying.
I've heard a touch
Is all you need
To grab your heart,
To make it speed,
While touches I
Receive each day
No single one
Is what they say.
No open flames
Or electric tingles,
Not a special
Feel that mingles
Long after the flesh
Has gone away,
No shadow-sensations
Left to play
Their empty-solid
Ghostly games
To replay jolts
Or rekindle flames.
My heart just aches
From looking for
The perfect guy, so
Now it's sore
And hollow where
My love should be
And blinded because
It tried to see
The souls behind
Each masculine face,
And now it mopes
In the empty space
That grows with all the
Long-lost tears
That embrace all of
My lonesome fears.
For a loving smile
Hoping, searching
All the while
To find the one
It wants to love,
The perfect match
From up above.
That cherished soul,
My heart's desire,
The one who starts
My inner fire.
Looking for
But never finding,
He that makes
My heart go flying.
I've heard a touch
Is all you need
To grab your heart,
To make it speed,
While touches I
Receive each day
No single one

No open flames
Or electric tingles,
Not a special
Feel that mingles
Long after the flesh
Has gone away,
No shadow-sensations

Or rekindle flames.
My heart just aches
