Love...Depending on Your Look? Chapter 15; EPILOGUE

I know it went too fast, but I was in a hurry. I wanted to finish that story quickly and rewrite the eleventh chapter, which would end with a different ending. (without the supernatural stuffs).

Dawn's POV:

I did not understand who was Alterino. I was only five years old then when all those happened in the flashback.
"Maybe, I should ask Dylan?", I thought.
When I saw Dylan hugging his mother, I wanted to cry too..
His mother interrupted my thoughts,''Dylan? Who is this girl? You sure she's your girlfriend?"
Dylan nodded. I went to hide behind the door and listened to their conversation.
Dylan's mother lowered her voice, "You can't be her boyfriend!!"
My heart was thumping louder and louder. Why? Tears streamed down my cheeks. Why?
"But Why?", Dylan said, confused.
"Remember, you can't marry her..."
WHAT!! But Dylan was my dream guy...

"Yeah...but can't she at least be my girlfriend?"
His mother nodded and kept on, "But one day, you'll have to dump her!! She a real human!"
Huh? I was kinda confused..did she just say 'real human'? I didn't get it..
First, this flashback, then Dylan's father dead, third 'real humans'
What was going on?
Dylan said,"But how about Alterino?"
My heart skipped a beat...This, had to be related to my flashback..
Alterino. The word was still echoing in my ear..Alterino..
Mrs Briggs smiled and waved a...black bottle? in her hands...
Black bottle? What was that?
"He is inside...but your father could NOT survive..don't touch it. I'll have to give it to Daphne."
"Daphne's alive?''

"Yes. She was just hurt."
Daphne? But Dylan just told me she went shopping...
"Mom, but I love Dawn!"
"Oh...but you loved Meryl..and she's dead..a few days ago, you just told me you HATED her.."
"Hmm..yeah..but, mom, it's Love...Depending On Your Look!"
I stared at Dylan..he loved me, but just depending on my look!
Mrs Briggs smiled and said, "No Dylan, it's Love...Depending On Your Look, QUESTION MARK!! And you should NEVER fall in love with people just because of their looks! You should also judge them by their personality! Meryl was selfish, Dylan...you KNEW it!"
Huh? He knew it?

Dylan shook his head and shouted,"NO!! I DID NOT KNOW SHE WAS SELFISH!!"
"Shh...Calm down!! Dawn will hear! I thought you loved Dawn?"
"Yeah! Of course I love her..but I committed a crime mum! I killed Meryl!"
NO! This could not be possible!! Dylan did not kill Meryl.
"Actually, Dylan, you didn't KILL her, it's natural! She was pregnant and YOU, a luxpoder, was the father! And the mother was a real human!"
Was I dreaming? If she was not a real human, what was Dylan? An alien!! A vampire? A ..I thought she told something..a lux..lus..luxpode?luxposer? What was that? I started to worry..
Just then, I snooze..oh..

Dylan and Mrs Briggs turned their head and widened their eyes.
I was pale, petrified..my palm was sweating, as I heard her say, "Dawn. You've committed a serious mistake..."
"NO! Mom! Please! Don't kill her!", Dylan shouted.
I started to scream and ran out of the house.
"Come here quick.", Mrs Briggs hissed coldly.
I felt a strange sensation, a force, pulling me towards them.
I struggled, and, to my great surprise, my right hand went up by itself, with my palm facing her. I watched her back away with horror and she fell down. She whispered something to Dylan, who looked at me curiously.
I looked at my hand, gaping and glanced at Mrs Briggs.
"Dawn?", Dylan asked me.

"Hmm?"
''Are you a-"
"Wait. Who is Alterino?"
"Oh..well.."
"Cuz..I had a flashback and saw him erm...converting a woman into a ..erm..into sand? And then I saw someone called Jared who-"
"Jared?"
"Yeah. Him. Jared."
"Oh..Go on..what did he do?"

"Erm..he said he would cast a spell on me..until he died.."
"Oh dear, Dawn, Jared is my father and he's dead today!!"
I looked at him with tearful eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry."
"Oh..it's alright..erm..I wanna ask you something..You are a luxpoder?"
"Huh?"
"I think nobody told you so. You're not real Dawn."
"What do you mean?"
"You are not a 'real human'."
I looked at him, confused.
He chuckled and started explaining to me.
"Oh..", I said at last.
"Well, your parents never told you?"
"No."

Dylan's POV

She was a luxpoder!! And she did not even know it!! Wow..
I told my mom about it and she went to meet her parents!
There was a GREAT, GOOD news!!
Dawn stayed at our place for dinner.
After that, we went out to take some fresh air.
I took out the small box and slid it in my pocket.
I hugged Dawn as we sat on the bench.
"Dawn? Can I ask you something?"
"Sure babe."
"Will you marry me?", I asked, with the little red box in my hand.

Dawn's POV

I crushed my lips to his and slid my tongue in his mouth. He deepened the kiss while I moaned.
"I'll take this as a yes.", said Dylan.
"Of course!! OF COURSE!! Dylan! I was YEARNING to do so!! YES, Dylan, I'll marry you."
I looked deep in his eyes while he slid the ring gracefully through my finger. I sighed. The ring was beautiful, with a blue gem shining in the moonlight. We kissed again and heard our parents and Daphne clapping behind us.
Indeed, this was the GREATEST day in my life.

TEN YEARS LATER...

I had two daughters, Meryl Grace Briggs and Phoebe Marie Briggs.
They were both lovely daughters, but, they were 'real humans'. Me and Dylan were the last luxpoders on earth. Daphne became a nun.
Since she was immortal, she left the country long ago and disappeared.
