Love was but a joke to me,
Some odd months ago.
I thought there was no hope for me
Since I wasn’t one to show.

But oh! What is this?
My heart now skips a beat.
There seems something amiss,
For I finally feel complete.

The girl set before me
Shows no hatred towards me
Neither does she say
"You’re stupid all the way"

No she only shows me kindness
Something I’ve yet to receive
For my heart was filled with blindness
From others being naive.

For they had only seen
My crusty outer structure
Whereas she had just been
In the inner tasty custard

She went deep inside
And found my little heart
Which had went on and died
From others who picked it apart

She fixed that little heart
And now she holds it dear
For she is the one
Who made love crystal clear
