Love Came and Loves Gone
A poem of pure love and the outcome after he leaves sort-of..
Fingers roll down ivory skin
Glistening in the summer light
Goose bumps rise over the thin,
Arms and legs tangled overnight.
Everything seems to blur
Emotions tie the two together
Before he asked"are you sure?"
Now she floats like a feather
Sunlight streams with morning light
Next to you the empty space remains
The dream that haunts you every night
Today all you feel is shame
She hopes that one day it will be
Better than it is
Away with the faithful tug
That draws her to him
Glistening in the summer light
Goose bumps rise over the thin,
Arms and legs tangled overnight.
Everything seems to blur
Emotions tie the two together
Before he asked"are you sure?"
Now she floats like a feather
Sunlight streams with morning light
Next to you the empty space remains
The dream that haunts you every night
Today all you feel is shame
She hopes that one day it will be
Better than it is
Away with the faithful tug
That draws her to him
