Love and Royalty (6)

After sending the letter to the council, I took a shower, ate breakfast (eggs, toast, and bacon) after I finished, I went to my office to fill some forms about the catering at the wedding like authorizing items at the party.
While I signed and wrote, I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" I said while looking at the papers.

Jason comes in.

"Good Morning, my princess" the way he said "MY princess" sends electric shocks down back and all over my body.

"Good Morning" I said looking up to find his beautiful BLUE eyes.

"So… how’s the wedding arrangements going?" He asked while I kept staring at his eyes.

"It’s going good; I’m actually not doing much, just authorizing and signing a lot of papers. I actually got a letter from the council just this morning" I answered while turning my gaze to the papers and the letter from the council.

"Really? What did they say?" Jason asked

"They congratulated us and…… they…." I stopped thinking to myself if I should tell him about the baby we have to produce. I was still staring at the papers.

"And?" he said trying to find my eyes.

"They said that when we get married we would have to have a baby as soon as possible, so it could be the heir to my thrown in case something happens to me. And they also sent the wedding invitations and they chose James as your best man.
So…… what do you think about this?" I finally look up, to seem brave and face his response.

"Well, I think it’s a good idea to protect your crown. And if the council says we have to do it, then we have to do it. And for James, I think it’s a great Idea, but what about Blake?" Jason says while looking at my eyes.

"Oh Blake is going to walk me down the isle." I said while entwining my fingers.

Silence took over for a couple seconds, but I cut in,

"Could I tell you something?" I said trying to avoid eye contact.

"Sure, you could tell me anything. You can trust me; after all I’m going to be your husband."

"Well, these past few weeks with you have been GREAT and…. I have been feeling something. I feel like I’m attracted to you, but not just in a friendship way, it’s more than that. And if you think the total opposite, then y- ?"

I got cut off by Jason’s lips. His lips are super smooth and they give me shock at the sign of touch. When he kissed me I felt this pressure and passion on my chest that said MORE. I tippy toed and flew my arms around his neck; we kissed for a few seconds. That’s when I heard the door fly open.

I removed my arms SLOWLY from Jason’s neck, but I still stood REALLY close to Jason’s chest. Jason still had his hands on my waist and I moved my hands on top of his arms. We stayed frozen when we saw James; of course Jason never knew the crush I had on James.
"Oh hey James, guess what up?" Jason said with a smile on his face

"What’s up with you?" James said with a grin on his face, and then changed it to a sorry sad look.

"Oh nothing just here… kissing my fiancé." Jason said, turning to look at me

"Oh, sorry for interrupting" James looked at Jason, avoiding total contact with me.

"It’s OK" Jason said with a gorgeous smile

"Hey James, good news the council chose you as the best man" I said interrupting, while I still stood beside Jason.

"I’m honored your highness." James said with a hurt look on his face.
I knew I hurt him, but I can’t deny my heart.

"Sorry I interrupted; I just wanted to talk to Alexandra. I’ll just wait outside." James said while closing the door.

When James closed the door I turned to Jason.

"I guess I have to talk to him" I said while looking at the door.

"Yep, hope you’re not in trouble. I’ll leave you two alone." Jason said, then kissed me on the cheek and walked out. After Jason left, James came in and closed the door hard.

When James came in, I went to go sit on my chair. James sat on the chair in front of my desk.

"Hey James, you wanted to talk to me?"

"Yep"

"OK, shoot. I’m all ears" i said while looking for my pen.

"Well… I just wanted to ask if you are ok." James asked while I signed some papers.

"Yea, I’m GREAT, why wouldn’t I be?" I asked while, staring at him with my hazel eyes.

"Well, I thought that you might be hurt or devastated, that you would have to marry a guy you don’t love. You don’t love him right?"

"Well…. to tell you the truth. I have been thinking that this marriage is a great idea." I told him avoiding eye contact.

"And why is that?" James said trying to look at my eyes.

"Well, first of all it’s an obstacle that I could easily get rid of. Second, is that I can’t refuse and third is that I actually am starting to like Jason more than friends." I said while looking at him STRAIGHT in the EYE. I thought I was brave.

"I thought you liked me." James said with a hurt look.

"I did, I had a HUGH crush on you, but I mistook it as LOVE. I now know what love is and I could tell you right now I did not love you.
I am truly sorry for telling you this, but it’s better for you to know then you believing I loved you when I actually didn’t. I do love you but more like a BIG BROTHER." I told him as KINDEST I could.

"Oh, well I am sorry for everything that happened and I hope the marriage goes great. I promise I’ll be your best friend and I will support you like my little sister." He told me trying to fake a smile.

"Awe, thanks BIG BRO" I said.

I got up from the chair and gave James a big bear hug. Through the hug I told him that I never meant to hurt him.

After the hug, James suddenly cupped my face and gave me a kiss. The kiss was really AKWARD! It felt dull and there was no shock, or sparks. Last time there was spark, but that’s because I didn’t recognize I loved Jason.
I pulled away

"Anything?" James asked me with curiosity.

"No, sorry" I said while James gently released my face.

"It’s OK; it’s not your fault. You just didn’t realize Jason before. "

"Yeah, don’t worry there’s someone out there for you. You just have to wait."
"Yeah. Well, dinner is ready?"

"How do you know?"

"I could hear Blake running to dinner" James said,
We both walked together out of the office towards the dinning room.

"You have good hearing"

"You have good hearing too."

"I do, but I don’t use it, I toon everything out so I don’t hear any private conversations."

That’s when I realized that James probably heard the conversation Jason and I were having. That was probably why James busted in my office. I didn’t want to make him feel worse, so I decided to keep it to my self.

We entered the dinning room,
Everyone in the room said "Princess" and bowed after they bowed we all sat down.

I sat in the main seat, Jason sat beside me. Blake sat next to Jason and James sat in front of Jason.
Even though the dinning table was huge and really long with a lot of chairs, we sat all close to each other. So if you walk in, you would see us sitting in the left side of the table and the other half was empty.
The long table and the extra chairs are for the council to sit, but today there was no visit from them.

We all ate lobster and other food the chef made. After we ate, we all headed to sleep; it was 11:27 P.M

Everyone went their separate ways toward their rooms. Jason and I went to our room holding hands.

"So, what did James talk to you about?"

"It was nothing, he just wanted to congratulate me in the wedding and talk to me in how he could help with the arrangements. I told him he could help me with my wedding dress." I answered him.

"Awe, hopefully you and James choose the right one." Jason told me with a gorgeous smile.

We got to the room and I went straight for the bathroom and changed into my light pink silk spaghetti strap pajama dress. I got out and Jason was already in his pajama pants (he actually sleeps shirtless).
Anyways, we continued with the conversation.

"Yeah. Do you remember when I told you that I had stronger feeling for you?" I said while getting in the bed.

"Yeah, I remember, and then James came in right?"

"Yeah. Well…... You actually kissed me and never told me if you feel the same way? Don’t worry you don’t have to feel the same way. NO PRESSURE"

"What do you think? Do you believe I love you?"

"I actually do believe you love me"

"How?"

"I could tell from your eyes and the kiss you gave me today. But was it fake?"

"No. I do love you. And you are a good observer."

Jason leaned closer and put his hand on my neck and pulled me into a passionate kiss. After 15 seconds of kissing, I finally pulled away and I suddenly felt something in my eyes, it was really bothering. I used me super speed and ran to the bathroom mirror to see if I had an eyelash in my eye.
When I looked became shocked at what I saw.

My eyes went from Hazel to super LIGHT HAZEL almost GOLD. I waited a couple of seconds to see if the eye color would change back to my original color, Hazel. To my surprise it DIDN’T, I ran to Jason and showed him and asked him what this meant.

Jason told me that a Royal Female Vampires could actually change their eye color depending on their mood. That’s why my eyes turn blood red when I get mad. But i have to become Queen for my eyes to change to every color.
I guess the color Red only appears in my eyes. I was really scared, i thought something was wrong with me. Good thing Jason was there to explain or else i would be super freaked.

When towards the bed tried to calmed down a little, and got under the covers and gently laid my head on Jason’s chest and we both drifted to sleep.
