TRACEY'S SECRET DATE - SHHHHHH

The plaid picnic blanket fluttered as Mr S flourished it out before laying it to rest upon our patch of the avocado meadow. I settled myself on the ground while Mr S exhibited, to me, the various and luxurious array of cuisine he had prepared for our special day.

The grass in the meadow was long and waving (sort of like waves in the ocean) the meadow was a perfectly symmetrical circle. Wild flowers, various hues of amethyst, topaz and silver, were scattered across the grass and I could faintly hear the sounds of a bubbling stream somewhere near bye.

It was as though he had climbed into my mentality and selected from it, my most desired meals and beverages. How did he do that? He was like a part of me... That thought both scared and thrilled me...

"Wot'cha got there, Mr S"

"Well, my pumpkin-chops, The starter is a traditional Gazpacho, a cold Spanish tomato-based raw vegetable soup, originating in the southern region of Andalusia. Gazpacho is widely consumed throughout Spain, neighboring Portugal (where it is known as gaspacho) and parts of Latin America. Gazpacho is mostly consumed during the summer months, due to its cold temperature and acidic bite."

"Wow, tell me more"

"Well I used a traditional, typical method of preparing the gazpacho, here I thought you be interested so I wrote it out for you..."
*******************THE NOTE*********************
1. The vegetables are washed and the tomatoes, garlic and onions are peeled.
2. All the vegetables and herbs are chopped and put into a large container (alternately, the tomatoes may be puréed in a blender or food processor, pounded with a mortar or strained and de-seeded with a food mill)
3. The soaked bread is then added (optionally)
4. Some of the contents of the container are then blended until liquid, depending on the desired consistency.
5. Chilled water, olive oil, vinegar and salt are then added to taste.
6. The remaining contents of the container are added to the liquid, then briefly puréed until there is some texture remaining for garnish. (optional)
7. Garnishes may be made with fresh bell pepper slices, diced tomatoes, or other fresh ingredients.

"That sounds beautiful" I smiled, and placed the note tenderly in my dress pocket... close to my heart.

"The main course shall be Falafels. Which, as you know, are balls or patties made from ground chickpeas and/or fava beans. Falafel is usually served in a pita, which acts as a pocket, or wrapped in a flatbread known as lafa. The falafel balls are topped with salads, pickled vegetables, hot sauce, and drizzled with tahini-based sauces. Falafel balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a meze."

"But wot of the 'ealf benefits?"

"Good question, dearest kitten, When made with chickpeas, falafel is high in protein, complex carbohydrates, and fiber. Chickpeas are also low in fat and salt and contain no cholesterol. Key nutrients are calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, Vitamin C, thiamine, pantothenic acid, Vitamin B, and folate. Phytochemicals include beta-carotene"

"Mmm wot abaht dessert?"

"For you, my north star, a white chocolate cheesecake swirled with chunks of chocolate peppermint bark, topped with white chocolate mousse and finished with chopped peppermint. Cheesecake is a dessert consisting of a topping made of soft, fresh cheese on a base made from biscuit, pastry or sponge. The topping is frequently sweetened with sugar and flavored or topped with fruit, nuts, fruit flavored drizzle and/or chocolate. Cheesecake was already a popular dish in ancient Greece before Romans adopted it with the conquest of Greece. The earliest attested mention of a cheesecake is by the Greek physician Aegimus, who wrote a book on the art of making cheesecakes."

"Very informative, Mr S, thank ya."

"Oh and to drink... Iced tea (sometimes corrupted to ice tea) is a form of cold tea, often served in a glass with ice. It may or may not be sweetened. Iced tea is also a popular packaged drink. It can be mixed with flavored syrup, with common flavors including lemon, peach, raspberry, lime, and cherry. While most iced teas get their flavor from tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) , other herb-infused beverages are also sometimes served cold and referred to as iced tea. Unsweetened iced tea is sometimes made by a particularly long steeping of tea leaves at lower temperature (one hour in the sun versus 5 minutes at 80-100 °C). Some people call this "sun tea". In addition, sometimes it is also left to stand overnight in the refrigerator."

"Oh, Mr S ya shouldn't 'ave." I remarked while clapping my hands gleefully.

"Why, my sugar-pie, I would do anything for you... I would fly to the moon and pick you 11 roses, fly home and buy an additional plastic rose and you know that when I then, flew to your house to present them to you... that I would love you until that last plastic rose died."

A single tear rolled down my cheek, and he tenderly lifted his thumb to brush it away, it was all such beautiful imagery... The moon, 11 roses, eternal love, the endurance of certain plastics...

He smiled down at me once more, before presented to me a bottle of 1945 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild Jeroboam. It dates back to the 20th century background. This is a rare quality and most fascinating red wine of the world. Jeroboam features the first artist-labeled Mouton Rothschild by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. He was truly spoiling me.

He grinned again.

"Look what I can do" he joked before lowering his mouth to the bottle and attempting to bite of the cork with his teeth. Although successful he let out a loud yelp.

"ARGH, my teeth!"

At that moment I began sobbing

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, you cannot even imagine how sorry I am!" Mr S cried as he leapt to my side to comfort me. A single tear rolled down my cheek, and when I looked into his eyes, which also were filled with tears, I began to sob again.

"I'm fine, I'm sorry, It didn't hurt, I'm sorry!"

"I thought you were hurttttt" I sobbed at him

"Shh, shhh I can never be hurt around you, now let us forget our troubles with a nice bowl of Gazpacho"

I smiled at him and we began devour our feast

As we finished we both drifted off to sleep, as satisfied as a raccoon. When we awoke we awoke with a new found energy .

Justin rolled over but then I pushed Mr S and rolled on top of him. Mr S chuckled but couldn't properly as I had rolled on top of him.

It was at the moment when I would lean down to kiss him that the clouds began to gloom and put a dampener on our day, Literally. It began to pour with rain!! I leapt to my feet, and Mr S to his. We began to run, I don't know where, or why... but for some reason something drew us to a light in the distant. A light leading us. For at that moment of time...

We were...
