Chapter 10

I looked away from the butler. "I don’t care. Do you think you can just get rid of me like that?" I know I was being stupid, but I really didn’t know what else to do.

That made him angrier. He pushed me away, and I fell on the ground hard. My head started to hurt and I felt a little dizzy.

He grabbed my arm this time and I closed my eyes waiting for what was coming next. Just then I heard another car pull up next to the other one. After a while I heard the door open and then close.

I tried to open my eyes but the light from this car was too bright, making me squint. So, I kept my eyes closed. "Don’t touch her," he shouted.

That voice was really familiar, but my head hurt too much and I couldn’t think straight. Instead, I blacked out…

"Jade! Can you hear me?" Damien’s voice echoed in my head. My mind was blank and I could only hear his voice.

"If you wake up I’ll give you my whole life, so please don’t give up yet. You have to wake up…you just have to. For me…please wake up ,Jade."

I tried to wake up after hearing his voice. I wanted to hug him and stay by his side forever, but my eyes just won’t open. The more I tried, the more my head hurt.

Damien’s POV

She didn’t even move. The doctor said she’d be fine, that it’s not serious, but I was still worried. Was she hurting inside? She just lay peacefully on the hospital bed. She almost looked like a sleeping angel.

I just waited for her to wake up, and didn’t know how long she’d been like this. After a while I fell asleep on the chair. I don’t know how long I was asleep, but I woke up to the sound of someone calling me. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw Jade sitting in front me, holding my hand.

I smiled lightly and hugged her. Although mum still didn’t approve of us being together, but grandma helped me convince her that if anything goes wrong then I’ll do anything she says.

"You’re ok," Jade whispered. I snorted, "You’re the one who was brought to the hospital. Never expected that you’d break you’re head that easily." I couldn’t help but laugh at her expression.

"Hey! Whose fault was it?! Besides, I was pushed on the ground so hard that I thought my head would burst right at that moment!"
I touched her hair gently, and then kissed her cheek lightly.

"What was that for?" she asked.

"This means you’re mine forever. You can’t let any guy kiss you here."

She tilted her head and looked at me with a confused expression. This time I gently kissed her forehead, "And here."

Jade’s POV

I stared at Damien as he kissed my forehead. This time I moved closer and kissed him on his warm lips. First it was gentle, but then he came closer to me and kissed me more passionately.

I couldn’t help but giggle between kisses. He quickly broke it off and smiled. "You know if you keep laughing I’ll start doing the same," he said.

I put my hands over my mouth and tried not to laugh. This time he started laughing. "Hey! You’re laughing!! How do you expect me not to laugh?!"

I sat back on the bed and he sat next to me. "Are you hungry?" he asked as he pushed my bangs away from my eyes. I nodded, "I’m really hungry."

He laughed and caught my hand, "Let’s go then. We’ll check you out of the hospital and then we’ll eat whatever you want." I smiled, and as we walked out of the room I saw an old woman standing far away at the other side.
She smiled at me and then turned away, walking out. That…that woman, who was she?

Ever since I first met Damien, I liked him although he was kind of a playboy. I never thought he’d change this much. He was there for me almost whenever I needed him. I’m just glad he’s the one I love.
I always knew he wasn’t that kind of person everyone thought of him.

I tightly held onto Damien’s hand and smiled at him as we both left…No matter how many hardships we face, it’ll be just me and him in the end…
