Losing the Light (Hearing Light 2) - Prolouge

I never knew it would take only three words to make my life change. Those three words could change a life and start something new, but it can also cause the downfall of your happiness. These three words just turn your life upside down and change your life forever. But those three words aren't only true.

Only a year ago, I meet Quinn. His eyes soft like chocolate and his hair light blonde. Freckles covered every inch of his face and he had a smile that could brighten a whole street. Too bad that was all too good to be true, for Quinn's kiss was deadly. He kissed me and suddenly my whole world changed as I was being stalked by a demon and Quinn's older brother Lorenzo. But in the middle of all these weird encounters I met Vincent.

Vincent is way more different from Quinn. He had raven black hair, styled long and 'emo' with a streak colored red. He had the strangest eyes, but they were intoxicating like a drug. They were onyx black with a ring of red around the pupil and edge of iris. He always wore black and had a smooth velvety voice.

Somehow, he knew exactly what Quinn's brother was planning and was always there to give me advice. Sometimes I thought he was physic, other times just plain psycho. At a party I had while my parents were gone is where I found out who really did care for me. They both confessed to me the same night at different times, but with Vincent saying, "I care for you more than Quinn ever will. I'd rather see you heartbroken over Quinn than dead because of him." And he did. That night, Lorenzo and the spirit or demon or 'trapped soul' of Witch Ann came in for the kill. Not only did Vincent save me from Lorenzo, but some strange light appeared and saved me from Ann. Vincent ended up with a broken arm and I was saved from a broken heart.

Now, I'm about to be a sophomore in high school and I'm almost sweet sixteen. Vincent has never left my side even though we have had a few stupid quarrels, like if we should going to watch a movie or going to his house. But like in that Katy Perry song, Hot and Cold, 'We fight we break up, we kiss and make-up." Yeah. I think I've broken up with Vincent about 26 and a half times. The half because he was on the verge of yelling but calmed down. But every time we'd fight, we'd kiss and make up. Literally.

But, I'm getting bored with school now. There's no action in school except for when Lawrence and Zane get into a fight and try to kill each other. But, other than that schools pretty quiet. Anair and Lawrence are still together, Chris broke Charlie's heart again (what an ass.), and Stephanie found new friends to hang around with. But the good thing is that we still talk to each other and we're still pretty close.

Now its summer and I can't wait! Interesting things should happen, hopefully. Maybe I'll meet someone new. And maybe some demon and a stalker will try to kill me again. Naw, I don't think so. The most exciting thing that might happen is hanging out with Anair and Charlie. Who knows. Maybe something WILL happen and I'll regret ever wanting it to happen in the first place.

Losing the Light shall be updated every month most likely unless school allows me to write a chapter. :) I will also still be writing Angel's Arrow with Kaila! I'm not stopping. But, that one will be updated irregularly.
