My second posted poem. I was upset while I was writing it and so here is the result:
One day a girl went to a party
And she had a good time because she was young and didn't know any better
And she smiled as her friend opened a gift that her mom picked out
But her friend didn't love it
And the girl went home and told her mom all about how her friend loved it, anyway
When the girl got a little older
Another friend invited her to a party that she didn't want to go to
But her mom urged her to go
Because then she might meet new people
And the girl went because her mom told her to
And she smiled as her friend opened a present that she picked out
But her friend didn't love it, but the girl went home and told her mom all about how her friend loved the gift
And her mom believed her
Then the next year, the girl was invited to another party that she had no intention on intending
But her friend begged her to go so the girl went
And she smiled as her friend opened a present that she made herself
And her friend seemed to like it
But the girl wasn't sure, so she went home and told her mom that her friend though the gift was unique
And her mom didn't doubt her
That year for the girl's birthday, her mom invited a couple of her friend's over and didn't tell the girl about it
And when the girl came, she wan ted to leave
But she stuck around because her mom went through all the trouble
And her friends all smiled as she opened their gifts
But she didn't love them
After her friends left, her mom gave her a piece of paper marked with the dys date and an envelope and told the Girl to write whatever she wanted and that she would take it from her and give it back to her in ten years
And the girl wrote, and wrote, and wrote until four and a half pages were filled and she gave the envelope to her Mother
Who knew that she loved the gift
--possible spelling/grammar mistakes --sorry about that
