I’ll smile to myself as I forget all my sorrow
I’ll put all the bad behind me
It’s the way that it’s meant to be
The pain and hurt that I lived with broke me down
But now I’ve let it go, I want to turn it all around
My new outlook on life has shed new light
Onto the dark areas that I tried to keep out of sight
I shut out certain things for untold reasons
Throughout the past year, throughout the seasons
I won’t try to regret the past
As I know that that won’t last
Thank you to those, you know who you are
You were my helping hand, my guiding star
I counted on you then, you can count on me now
