Samantha, a 21 years old college graduate was moving back to her parents home after graduating from St. Thomas University, London. She never liked it up there, being away from home for so long got her sad and depressed.
Samantha's POV
"Ring! ring!," her cell phone rang.
"Hello,"I said.
"Hello Sam is that you?"
"Yes this is she," I said to the person on the other end of the call.
"Hey, this is Nicole, what's up?"
"Hey Nicole, hi I'm ok for now just on my way back home, how are you?"
"I am doing great, hey Sam are you going the all round trip to Europe for the month with the class?"
"Am...no I am not feeling like it, I think I might hold back on that trip, besides I wanted to spend sometime with my family, I haven't seen them for so long."
"Sam!! Pleasseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, lets go I think it would be a great opportunity for us since we will be meeting a lot of potential employers on that trip, we can meet some great people to help us get good jobs, you know is customary for the graduating class to attend this, it is like the grand finale of our reign at St Thomas"
"Nicole , I don't know...maybe id think about it and i will let you know, how about that?I said depressingly.
"Hey you better do not set me up on this one Sam I need you and besides you owe me!"
"Ok ok i will ok, well i gotta go now, bye"
"Bye Sam"
As the taxi pulled up in my parents house driveway I felt as though I could breathe again.
"thank you driver," I said as I paid him the fare.
As I closed the door I could see my mother running down the walk way towards me hands wide open..."Sam! Sam!, she said shouting.
We embraced and shared a moment there, she said that those three years were the longest three years of her life without me.
Everyone sat for dinner and for a long time food didn't taste so good.
When I left for college I left with the intention that my boyfriend I and would be experiencing college life together.
Samantha Shade wasn't always a boring depressing person...
"So Sam are you going the all round trip to Europe with your friends?"" my mom said. "Mom, I am not sure, the truth is it may be a little too late for that since I didn't purchase the ticket on campus like I was supposed to".
"What ticket? mom said "You mean the ticket that Nicole purchased for you? mom said smiling.
Nicole's mother called me earlier today and she said that Nicole was moving into her own apartment in the town and that she was going to the finale trip with the class, she wanted to know if you were going."
"And what did you tell her mom?"
"I said you would surely go that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity before your life heads to marriage or a career person."
"But mom...! you don't think that you could have come to me first about this!!!!" "Isn't my feelings a matter again, don't I have a say in my life!"
I said in a high tone voice as I left the table and went straight to my room.
I felt bad of the way i reacted, since it was my first night back and my parents really was waiting a long time to see me.
My mother decided to give me some space so she avoided me for the rest of the night, but I couldn't got to bed without clearing things up with her.
"Hi, mom..dad." I said as I knocked on their bedroom door.
"Yes, come in Sam."
"Mom...dad, I just wanted to apologize for the way I reacted, let me just say that It would never happen again, I...I...just had a hard three years in my life and I just wanted to escape from the school and my classmates."
"It's ok Sam I was a little out of place to make decisions for you."
"Sam..is everything ok with you," dad said concerned. "The thing is you were very distant from the time you walked in that door today, did something happen to you while you was off to college?" he stared.
As I looked at both of them my eyes filled with tears..."I am just a little tired that's all." I lied. "I am just happy to see you both."

It was May 15th and the entire alumni was waiting for the train to Zurek. Nicole and I met up at the train station all ready to go on the trip together.
"Sam I'm so happy you decided to go, I love you for doing this with me."
"Thanks Niccy, I'm happy to go to" i said to Nicole.
I was afraid of this trip, I wasn't ready to fly free just yet, but I made a decision and I was going to keep up with it. I was just going to count my days down to come back home to drown myself in my room.
"Nicole..Samantha!" a strong voice shouted as were about to board the train. As I heard that voice my pours raised and I shivered like if a cold breeze had just hit me in my face.
"David." Nicole said
David and I stood there watching each other straight in the eyes and it was like the world had disappeared for a moment.
"Hey you two, so you guys are going to the trip as well," David said.
"Yes we are," Nicole said
"Cool well I will see you guys, bye Sam." He said as he walked in the train.
"What is wrong with you???you barely said a word to the guy he was only trying to be nice to us"
I said nothing as we both then entered the train together. As we find our seats on the train I knew that this trip was going to be long and stressful...and with David here I would die before I make it back home.
The train horns were sounded and we were on our way. My eyes fill with tears as I slowly saw the land outside pass us by.
"God please give me the strength to make it through this trip.." I said to my self as Nicole shouted, "Zurek here we come...!"
