Lonely for Christmas?

Are you also one of the many who don’t exactly wait this time of the year? You are supposed to be happy and cheerful like all the others when in fact, your life is not exactly on a mountaintop this season. Solutions for a few days are not difficult to find but I want to show you another perspective.
It might have been for several Christmases like that, so you might think that this year will be no different. The causes can have various forms but the bottom line is the same:"I feel alone for Christmas and …I hate it! "

Well it wouldn’t be hard to enumerate some activities you can get involved in so that the Christmas days would fly faster but…then what? I don’t want to give you tips to last for a few hours, days at most.

I would like to show you a real perspective that can actually make a great Christmas time every day of your life not just for a few days!

You know, if you celebrate Christmas it means you are Christian, and if you are a Christian you should never be alone! The percentage of people who know about Christ can eventually feel lonely, but the moment you really get to know the Baby born at Christmas (and not only know about Him), everything changes!

Just bear with me for a moment and picture this: you, at the kitchen table talking to God. You tell Him: "Jesus, I just hate Christmas! As you see, I am alone and I really don’t know what to do. Everyone seems to have a good time but me." Picture yourself talking to the REAL Jesus, telling Him why you feel so miserable, all your possible reasons.

If you don’t believe that He even exists, tell Him that too! Tell Him:"Jesus, I have hared of you but I think it is all a story and nothing more, anyway the people in the Church don’t seem to believe all that much in You either; I just don’t have any proof You exist! Give me some! "

I have also thought at one point that Jesus is maybe just like Santa…inexistent. I was brought up in a Christian home but that was not enough, I needed to know if this was just a story or the reality. I had many, various questions and I started my search. Science, history, creationism versus evolutionism and all I could find, I examined …and read. It took me a while…I am not easily convinced.

However to make the long story short, I realized that the Bible is indeed historically and scientifically reliable. By the way, did you know that the Bible mentioned the earth was round hundreds of years before science discovered it? Numerous other scientifically proven facts were acknowledged by science long after the Bible first presented them.

Do you realize that this is not baloney? God is there indeed!

It is a huge difference between knowing about your new neighbor and really getting to know the new neighbor, his life and problems etc; it does not happen over night! You have to spend time with him to know what he likes or dislikes; it takes time to build trust. But all this process of knowing your neighbor starts with a moment when you probably shook hands saying:" Hi, I am Maggie! "

Likewise, from the moment you decide to get to know the Baby born at Christmas to the moment you realize He is indeed who He claims to be (the Son of God), it might take you a while as God is not forcing anyone to believe. That’s why you have your brain, to use it and not just believing beautiful stories but checking facts to be convinced of something with strong arguments; not just because you heard some believing one thing and others believing another!

What if people were avoiding you based on the gossip they hear about you? Would that be fair? Gossips are sooo twisted, therefore often times they are nothing more but a bunch of lies! That’s why it is vital that you do your own search and not rely on other’s opinions and gossip for that matter. See for yourself what the Bible says, what is the historical evidence, the scientifically proven evidence concerning the reliability of God’s word. It is indeed a great loss to rely on "heard stories" and not meet Jesus yourself! It is indeed an eternal loss…a wasted life without life itself inside…what a defeat!

Getting back to your kitchen table, I will tell you a little of Jesus’ answer to you…as for the rest, you have to find it yourself for I don’t know your particular dilemmas.

He would tell you :"My precious child, I know what you go trough and even if you don’t see why these things occurred in your life, I want you to know that I look at your life from another perspective, you can’t understand some things now but you will. I created you the way you are because I intended to, you are not a mistake! I have a future filled with hope for you and I have a great plan for your life, let Me show it to you".

Yes, Jesus will show you the plan He has for your life and it is better then you could ever even think of! It is beyond your wildest imagination!

I wish you understood how loved you are and that Jesus is real, not like Santa Claus! He wants to give you a great Christmas, a new beginning, a great relationship to last not only a life time, but forever!

One more thing, you are not alone! He is there with you every second!
