Loneliness Of Booze
A short poem about the fall into the realm of booze filled melancholy.
Lost in the loneliness of booze,
I'm drunk again, yep, that's me,
Trying again to drink you off my mind,
But I guess I'll never be free,
Coz I'm lost in you,
And I can't infuse,
You and I for eternity.
So I'll keep crawling this lonely trail
Of booze and misery.
Give me a drink and I'll toast our love,
And I'll toast our troubles too,
I'll toast the Devil, I'll toast his evil,
I'll even raise a toast to you,
I'll rave my rave,
And rant my waste,
And howl at the moon,
But I'll never drink myself sober
From the loneliness of booze.
I'm drunk again, yep, that's me,
Trying again to drink you off my mind,
But I guess I'll never be free,
Coz I'm lost in you,
And I can't infuse,
You and I for eternity.
So I'll keep crawling this lonely trail
Of booze and misery.
Give me a drink and I'll toast our love,
And I'll toast our troubles too,
I'll toast the Devil, I'll toast his evil,
I'll even raise a toast to you,
I'll rave my rave,
And rant my waste,
And howl at the moon,
But I'll never drink myself sober
From the loneliness of booze.
