Living Your Music

A poem of life.
In the light that blinds the world
Lies begin to twist and twirl
Devouring to hopes we clad
Revealing the souls of those we had.

In the darkness of the night
There we sit and twitch with fright
Wondering what the dawn will bring
And if the countryside will sing.

Run and play beside the stars
Asking them who we are
But they just sit and give us dreams
And hopes revived will make us beam.

Sitting on a wide-eyed moon
Listening to life's glorious tune
Swaying as the music surrounds
Lost inside a sea of sounds.

Living in a world your own
Knowing your light is brightly shown
Drowning out the light of those
Whose music is not what you'd compose.
