We have not really met,
But I feel as if I know you.
Perhaps,
In another life, I did.

Your intensity is familiar:
The furrow on your brows
When you think,
The twist of your lips
When you’re upset,
The unholy sparkle
In your eyes
When you smile.

I sense your zest for life,
And your frustration
For its strange twists and turns.

I am glad that things
Seem to be going
Your way recently.
Hang in there.
You are young,
And the world
Lies at your feet,
Ready for the taking.

Life is beautiful
In all its imperfections.
So keep the faith,
And don’t lose yourself.
Live life completely.
