Little Secrets - Chapter Two
Yes, she called me Karl. I’m not Kade............
Chapter 2
I was not looking forward to working with Kade on this stupid mold project. Kade caught up to me in the hallway. "So, like, do you want a ride home… or are you just gonna ride the bus. I figure it’d be easier if we just take my car." "Okay. Let’s go and get this over with."
He led me through the parking lot to his car. It was a convertible, probably some fancy type, but I really don’t know car types and car stuff… all I know was it had to have been expensive. "So, it’s a good thing we’re doing this at your house."
"Oh really? Why?" I looked at him in disgust. He’s so weird. I thought.
"Well, like if we were doing it at my house, it’d just be weird. Because I have an interview around 5 for Shout magazine and if a photographer, saw you there, telling them that we were just doing a mold project together would not be a good enough excuse. It’d be all over the press in no time."
"Lovely. Well, let’s just go and get this over with." I said again… I did not want to spend any unnecessary time with this rich boy. We got to my house twenty minutes later. No one was home. "Great. Thanks a lot mom." I groaned and got out of the car. I slammed the door shut and went to the front door. I took the key from it’s place under the welcome mat and let myself in. Kade followed. He leaned against the kitchen counter and I opened the fridge.
"Okay, so what do you want to use for the second thing." I glanced over and he was yawning. "Big party last night?" He frowned. "No. Why don’t we use a strawberry?"
"It’ll attract too many fruit flies." I shook my head and opened a drawer in the fridge. "How about string cheese?" I held one up. "Yum thanks." He reached for it. I pulled it away. "I meant for the mold." He turned red. "I knew that. Yeah that’ll work." I grabbed a second cheese stick and tossed it to him.
"Thanks." He opened it and peeled a string off. I untied a bag of bread and took a slice.
We put the bread and cheese into a box and put it in the corner. He left right after saying "See you in school tomorrow." I went up to my room and flopped onto my bed with a book.
Yes, she called me Karl. I’m not Kade.
She was definitely not like most girls who threw themselves at me. Just because they thought I was Kade. I walked in the front door, mom was sitting on the couch reading a book. "Hey mom. I‘m home." I called to her as I walked up the stairs. "How was school Karl?" She asked. "Fine." Yes, she called me Karl. I’m not Kade. Kade’s my twin brother. When he died last year mom and dad lied and told everyone that I had died… shows who they loved more. I hate pretending to be someone I’m not. Especially since now I’m chased around by annoying girls.
I don't know if I want to continue it... it seemed like a good idea but i just don't know what to do with it now.... please comment and let me know what you think i should do.
thanks
