Little Buddy - Snowy

A true story of a cute little pup and the short-lived snowy times...
Little Buddy - Snowy
He was a stray puppy
That too had his share of day(s)
Someone dared adopt him
To provide a home
A brand new beginning

Caught in two minds whether
To pet or not to pet
At least the 'Master' started off
The pup got its name - Snowy
An identity & dwelling too
But only for a while…

Some wished to cuddle him
Others indulged in fair play
Why wouldn't they?
It was such a cute pet
Innocent eyes, hopeful mug
A heart filled with unconditional love

For reasons & excuses unknown
He was left back on the roads
All by himself...

Why would he complain?
Was he not lucky to have lived a life -
Shared the joy & concern
Reciprocated the affection
Known what it means
To be ‘stray’ and ‘astray’

In this self-loving world
Of ‘instant’ give and take
Where would a dog stand?

Many a times, he escaped death
Hovering on the streets
Mad rush and reckless speed
Until a day came
When he was left to bleed

He left us -
The friends, the strangers,
The concerned, the unconcerned
The kids who were fond of him
The elders who shunned him…

No longer would he have to -
Bounce back to life, time and again
Stand the disposition of society
Be at the receiving end of unpredictability!

Yet, grateful to his fate
Pleased with human kind(ness?)
The last expression...
With no regrets! Just Gratification…
