Lita
This poem was requested. I hope it works out.
When I first heard the name, Kalixta,
My soul spread it's wings and flew,
And my heart soared high with it,
In their joint quest to find you.
When I held your picture in my hand,
All my thoughts were blown away,
I had never seen such beauty before,
Simply unique, in your own way.
And the first time that I met you,
I experienced true love at first sight,
An angel, was my first impression,
So radiant and so divine.
My intuitive cognition,
Tells me that you are the one,
And that even in the coldest of winters,
We can still feel the warmth of the sun.
I can lose myself in your hazel eyes,
And feel safe in your glowing smile,
I can rest my head in your soft brown hair,
To sleep soundly for a while.
And I know I'll awake contented,
You make every morning beautiful,
And just to hold you of an evening,
Will bring serenity to my heart and soul.
This is my gift to you, Lita,
Which I give with a smile and a rose,
To prove my love for you, sweet Lita,
I confide in you, my repose.
My soul spread it's wings and flew,
And my heart soared high with it,
In their joint quest to find you.
When I held your picture in my hand,
All my thoughts were blown away,
I had never seen such beauty before,
Simply unique, in your own way.
And the first time that I met you,
