Summer is almost here and kids have a lot of free time on their hands. They normally join some or the other activity clubs to pass their time, as it is one of the best ways to spend the summer vacation. These extra curricular activities are usually held in the morning because most kids prefer to stay indoors with the family during noon. Kids are known to be hyperactive and they just won't sit in one place unless they are busy with something, and the best way to make them sit inside during these hot afternoons is to give them DVDs and CDs of funny movies to pass their time.

Funny Kid Movies to Watch

Many names come to mind when you talk about the funny movies. Even you might be thinking of so many right now, but very few of them guarantee pure entertainment and lots of laughs. While picking up movies for kids you have to be pretty sure as to what you're showing them, they shouldn't contain any scenes that are not advisable for kids. Here's a list of funny movies which can be enjoyed by kids and even adults.

Baby's Day Out
This cute hit is a story about a beautiful little baby boy and three foolish robbers who have kidnapped him. They make the worst mistake of their lives by kidnapping this little bundle of joy. In the entire film they keep on trying to keep the baby but cannot keep him in their grip for more than 5 minutes. This movie is a great entertainer not only for kids but also for adults.

Home Alone
Beware of Kevin McCllister (Macaulay Culkin), an 11-year-old boy who has to save his house from two thieves who are trying to rob the entire neighborhood. It is Christmas time and Kevin has to deal with all his cousins and peers who are staying at his house. The family decides to go on a vacation for Christmas and forgets Kevin. The film is every young boy's dream to be left home alone for a couple of days. Join this fun adventure with the braves kid on the planet.

Bruce Almighty
Kids love Jim Carrey and why not, he's funny, he's smart and he does a lot of cool impressions. In this movie Carrey (Bruce Nolan) plays a dejected news reporter who is frustrated with his job and his life. He's complaining to God almost 24/7 and God (Morgan Freeman) becomes so tired of the complaints that he decides to pay Carrey a visit. In the meeting he decides to make Nolan God for some days so that he can get the life he's always wanted. A great movie for kids to watch.

Hook
A must see movie for every kid in the world, Hook is all about being a child for eternity and not growing up. Robin Williams stars as Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman stars as the much hated pirate; Captain Hook. I think every kid in the world should watch Hook, it is a great movie about never growing up.

Wall-E
One of the biggest hits from Pixar, this amazing film has been a kid favorite since its release. Wall-E is smart, funny, adorable and very romantic. It is a true example of love having no boundaries and anyone anywhere can fall in love and be happy. I won't reveal the plot, just watch it.
