There are 48 European countries. Many of the nations are members of the European Union, while some are still candidate countries. There are a few who have yet to join the European Union. Here is a list of European countries.
Many of the European countries have joined together to form the European Union (EU). Switzerland, Norway and a few Balkan countries are not a part of European Union. The time zones of Europe are Eastern European Time, Central European Time and Western European Time. European Union has adopted Summer Time or the Daylight Saving Time. Most countries, including the ones that are not part of the European Union, also follow the date and time set by the EU. However, Belarus, Iceland, Svalbard & Jan Mayen do not follow the time zone set by the European Union.
