What are Adjectives?
In simplest terms, adjectives can be defined as words that describe nouns or tell more about nouns. In order to get the idea clearly, you need to know what are nouns. All the people, things, names of everything, places, feelings, etc. are nouns. For e.g., apple, Anna, Australia, the Sun, Arkansas, attitude, etc. are nouns. The words that are used to describe these nouns in detail are known as adjectives. Types of Adjectives

Descriptive Adjectives
This is the largest type or class of adjectives which is used to describe nouns. If you take a look at the list of descriptive adjectives, you will find its applicability in diverse areas. Tall, charming, arrogant, cool, green,, etc. are some descriptive adjectives.
Limiting Adjectives
As a contrast to descriptive adjectives, limiting adjectives describe only the specific noun. These adjectives are used only when a person talks about a particular thing and not in general. This, two, teacher's, etc. are limiting adjectives.
Degree of Adjective
These types of adjectives are also very easy to identify and put into practice. They are used to describe nouns as well as to compare between two nouns. Tall, shorter, highest, etc, are degree of adjectives.
